COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You won't find this beauty at just any bar stool. Our Blonde has a light nutty aroma with just a hint of spiciness. Take a sip. Notice that sweet toasty flavor? That's from the special malts we use. The spicy dry finish comes from a unique American hops known as Liberty. This isn't a heavy blonde — it's a delicate match of hops and malt. With its clean lager-like finish, you can have a lot of Blondes. A great beer with white pies or for those who like to get around (the dance floor). 107 cal/12oz.

My Bottom Line:
Toasted and caramelized cereals overcome the herbal hops and their bitterness in this easygoing Blonde Ale.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A ring of foam circles the nearly clear gold.
-While the first half of the sip is pretty sweet, the second half can be said to be well dried out.
-Once again, the nose is very timid and not enticing.
-All of their beers had a level of sweetness that is not necessary in session ales of the sort they brew.

On tap at the brewpub.

Pours pale golden with small fizzy head. Grainy with a strong caramel sweetness. Malty flavor, but kind of skunky. Not very crisp and sort of muttled. Hoped for a blonde to be a little more refreshing.

The best thing about this beer is its amusing commercial description. The beer itself is unremarkable and weak. I do like the toasted quality, although it’s merely a hint. You get a lot of it in the first taste, but as you have more it disappears. There is no complexity to this beer--much like all the beers to come out of this brewery. I am disappointed.

6 ounce sample on tap at CT Brewer’s Festival in Hartford, CT. Slight lemony, biscuity aroma with mild citric notes. A bit of grassiness is present as well. Delicate and fair. Transparent golden body with virtually no head whatsoever. Biscuity, dry, bready grainy maltiness to start. Finishes crisp with some grassy hops. Quenching, serviceable light ale.

Golden with a medium white head. Toasted aroma with hints of butter and citrus. Flavor is thicker than one would expect, but doesn’t finish well and the hop balance isn’t great. suprisingly good, but probably one of their worst beers there, although a good choice on a hot day or if you’re into golden ales.
