On tap at the Connecticut Brew Fest. Pale gold, slight white head. Fair lager, malty, with a decent watermelon nose and flavor. Not bad.

From the Jug at the GABF, Colorado Convention Center 11/10/2007 Sour aroma. Golden coloured and fruity with a sour melon flavour. Crisp and refreshing finish.

This was a weak, thin-bodied beer with a very strong watermelon aftertaste--less in the initial aroma. It seemed more of a novelty than a good idea for brewing, and from a perspective of beer, it was poorly executed. The initial flavor is weak...not very bitter, somewhat sweet; I don’t taste much malt. The watermelon flavor really explodes in the aftertaste...it’s too much, in my opinion. Like I said, it’s a novelty...but then again maybe I’m just speaking because I don’t particularly like watermelon. Still, I don’t think the flavor goes well in a beer.

6 ounce sample at the Connecticut Brewer’s Festival in Hartford. Malty, toasted aroma with some mildly sweet fruity watermelon notes present. The watermelon aromas are suprisingly not overbearing. Transparent golden color with a frothy, off-yellowish head. Lots of fruity watermelon accents to start, which fade rather quickly. Finishes malted, toasted with slight grassy hoppiness to finish. Well-balanced fruit beer. Unfortunately, the watermelon just creates a unpleasant and weird melding with the maltiness.

golden with a small whie head. Watermelon is dominant in the aroma and taste. Decently balanced witht the hops keeping the watermelon from dominating. A bit too sweet for my tastes.

Pours coppery gold with no real head and minimal carbonation. Smells malty with some watery watermelon elements. Tastes buttery and of watermelon in a grand scale and good way. Very unique.

Changing my rating based on a better sample. Nice watermelon flavor. Original and not what I expected. Not fruity at all. Semi-filtered and just a nice summer brew, with a twist.
