3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Drinking blind from a 33cl bottle.
A very fruity aroma, citrus, peaches, grapefruit but also hops and pine scent.
The unclear yellow/orange beer has a big not so white head.
Sweet and bitter are both very powerful in this beer, but also some sour is noticeable. The bitter is predominant in the end.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle thanks to Colin. It pours hazy golden with a medium white head. The nose is soft, fresh, tangerine, nectarine, grain, dough and a light spicy edge, akin to hot cross buns. The taste is bitter-sweet, earth, dough, tangy, orange sponge cake and a touch of alcohol with a dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Pretty alright.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared in London - thanks to Colin for this guy. Pours mostly clear with a cream, white head. The nose has dry, pale bread, grains, hay. Medium sweet flavor with some Belgian yeast, bubblegum, bitter grain husks, sugary wheat. Light bodied with average to lively carbonation. Sweet finish with dry pale malts, citrus, bitter hay, grains, bubblegum. Meh. OK.

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Really nice orange color, quite foggy due to second fermentation yeast. Nos is typical of IPA with Exotic fruits and very open. Taste is according to nose and not too bitter with a nice second mouth. A very good IPA with the roudness of Belgium beer, really worth to try.

4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Nouvelle bière sortie dans la jungle belge avec une couleur magnifique. Légèrement fruitée au début, elle se termine avec une petite amertume intéressante. Fines bulles très appréciées, hodeure bonne et gout pas trop complexe.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Fruitée, amertume moyenne, épicée. Facile à boire. Malheureusement, une IPA qui ne sort pas du lot. Banale.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
33cl bottle, organic. Appearance: Thick white creamy head, quite stable. Dark gold/orange, hazy. Aroma: Big burst of hoppy tropical fruits in the nose, with slight notes of hay and fruity esters coming through later on. Very light yeast notes, unlike some Belgian IPAs. Taste: Quite bitter, perception of bitterness possibly enhanced by relatively low ABV. Very clean and relatively long bitterness. Quite dry as well. Palate: light body but slightly oily/sticky so not watery. Well carbonated.
Bottom line: a true bold IPA, though quite smooth and drinkable. Really breaks free from the Belgian IPA archetype, though it retains a certain distinct character.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
1st December 2013
Hazy gold beer with a little white head. Palate is minerally crisp and dry. Light creamy malt, semi dry. Orangey hops, a little tangy and a little sharp with a good dose of lemon. Finishes smooth with a mellow bitter linger. Pretty decent - like the hop profile and hope to try Smaragd hops again.
