Bottle, bought @Etre Gourmet. Pours deep red brown with a large, creamy, beige head. Aroma has chocolate, citrus, light coffee, soft roasted. Medium carbonation, quite dry mouthfeel. Flavour has good malts, quite astringent actually, chocolate, citrus, light coffee. Quite nice bitter finish.

Just what it advertises, dark version of the delta. Rather pleasing. Ruby amber, murky. Caramel, dried fruits + lemony hops.

Bottle. Brown color. Apricot, roast and milk chocolate in the aroma and flavor. Malty sweetish. Licorice. Grassy notes. Very tasty, almost un-Belgian beer.

(Bottled, BBE 03/2016) Dark reddish brown with a huge, beige head (very hard to drink this from a Spiegelau IPA glass). The aroma is nice and fresh with pine-fruity hops and some chocolate, but also some sewery notes. Flavor is way too burned, though, masking too much of the grapefruity-piney hop profile. Sweet, dark-bready doppelbock maltiness also clearly present with some oatmeal sourness. Medium+ body, very high and foamy CO2. Too much stout for a Black IPA - doesn’t work as either one. 4445

Very dark brown with a good bolding head. Weird but good smell, chocolate and fruits.

Huge dark cream head, very stable over deep brown beer with a reddish hue; shards of lace. Bit of coffee, lots of fusels and hops. Quite some caramel(syrup). Faint backthroat sweetness. Long bitterish-burnt finish and aftertaste, where the stoutsourishness appears. Feels quite carbonated. Well bodied, quite to very slick. An attempt at black IPA, turns out another stout. All said.

Bottle from Drinkmonger. Murky ruby/brown body with a huge, sturdy tan head. Excellent lacing. Aroma of sugared plum, caramel and grapefruit. Flavour of toast, sweet lime and blood orange. Very bitter and dry. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Not as rich and chocolatey as some, but an excellent Black IPA - looks and tastes like a blend between a Black IPA and an IPA.
