4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
33cl bottle. Cloudy orange with medium head.
NOSE : striking with fresh citrus zest, grapefruit, pomelo, pine, soap, passion fruit, tart.
SIP : medium body with decent carbonation. Creamy texture. The beer has a sweet tart flavor on the start. After not even an instant all the fruit aromas come to life in quite violent way similar to US IPAs. Fruit aromas reveal bitter grapefruit seed like feeling. Still the sweetness is well present and making this beer well balanced. The bitterness is quite mild for this style.
OVERALL : really tasty and refreshing. Even though there might be some better IPA references but this one is still a great enjoyment. Can’t wait to see what this new and local brewery will come up with next.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass:
Yellow pour. A good medium sized vast, thick and slowly changing white creamy foamy head on top of a hazy yellow to more orange colored beer.
Aromas of yeast, dust, some fruits like apples, grapes, orange, mostly yeasty fruits, some herbs, some pee, sour tones (lemon) and a hint of something like cardboard. Typical Belgian ale aroma.
Flavours of grapes, lemon, berries, yeast, grains, hay, herbs, some tart tones, bitters, light spicy and some citrussy plant ish herbs.
Aftertaste is lemon/tart, grains, yeast, herbs, bitters and a light porridge tint.
Medium carbo, creamy tingy light tart ish mouthfeel, medium bodied and a creamy texture.
Somewhat remembers me of a mix of a Belgian Ale, Lambiek, Saison and a Belgian IPA... Strange but not bad.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Lange droge afdronk.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Thick & dense, nearly putty off-white to cream head, stable, over totally hazy orange beer. Very catty hops wafting up on pouring. Cattiness and ureum absolutely not volatile, to the detriment of possible other aromas - maybe some citrus? Bitter-hoppy. Fruity esters, with even some near-sweet citrus as orange, but always an oily presence of hops. Long-lasting bitterness, faint astringency, oily to sticky feel. Medium bodied at least. Bit crude IPA. Pity I couldn’t get my hands on either α nor β, ’cause I got a nagging suspicion they wanted the δ to win... My bad character, maybe.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled @ de Molen, small sample. Slight hazy golden color, medium head. Aroma of soft citrussy hop, slight funky, soft belgian yeast esters. Not too heavy on the yeast though, which is good and they have put belgian IPA on their label. Slight bitter taste. All in all it’s a typical Belgian beer in that the balance is ok, but nothing really outspoken. The crowdfunding stuff is nice, but I think they should focus on what they like themselves the most instead of making what most people like, because that can only result in bland mediocreness.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle at the De Molen Second Tuesday tasting, September 2013. Poured a clear medium amber with a big frothy white head. The aroma is big fruit and alcohol with a slight hint of paint stripper. The flavour is medium bitter with some grapefruit citrus and yeast on the smooth palate. The bitterness lingers for a while in the finish.
