UPDATED: APR 8, 2004 Bottle from the Offie, Leicester. This was labelled as a Belgian Celis beer, i.e. brewed by Van Steenburge. Glorius iced-bun aroma, sweet and fluffy. Quite sweet, but balanced raspberry flavour, with some equalising beeriness present on the finish, which is quite short. This seemed as lambic as Lindemans Framboise, but in any case is not the best example of the style. But still tasty.

Hazy red color. Real raspberry aroma; pleasant taste, but less fruity.

A very red unclear beer with a pink disapearing head. The aroma is a very sweet raspberry aroma - too sweet for my liking. The flavor is artificial raspberries - and too powerful of raspberries. Not a good interpretaion of a Framboise - even though the idea was Pierre Celis'.

a witbier with raspberries, from an idea of Pierre Celis - cloudy reddish colour with few foam, strong aroma of raspberries syrup, sweet and acidic with a dry raspberry finish - almost correct as an aperitiv
