Ungstrup (11930), Frederiksberg, Denmark Feb 1, 2004 A very red unclear beer with a pink disapearing head. The aroma is a very sweet raspberry aroma - too sweet for my liking. The flavor is artificial raspberries - and too powerful of raspberries. Not a good interpretaion of a Framboise - even though the idea was Pierre Celis'. Papsoe (11421), Frederiksberg, Denmark May 30, 2005 Updated: Jun 12, 2005(Bottle 25 cl) Pierre Celis is known as the man who reintroduced Belgian witbier in Hoegaarden, and since then he’s been a great innovator with several projects. This is one of them. A line of fruitbeers based on witbier. It’s been seen before, but with 30% fruit, this much be one of the fruitiest ones. Beautiful rose color and a rather handsome and stable head. Apparent raspberry-aroma and a strange sourness, that made me think of lambic. 080804 omhper (11030), Stockholm, Sweden Jul 2, 2008 Bottled at Pivovarsky Klub, Prague. Hazy reddish brown, small pink head. Fresh raspberry syrup aroma. Very sweet, yet with some freshsning acidity. Light bodied, but not thin. Some metal in the finish. More credible than most of these new wave low alcohol commercial Belgian fruit beers, but I still don’t understand why I should drink it again. yespr (8539), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jun 30, 2008 25 cL bottle. Pours hazy red with a lacing and light pink head. Aroma is sweet and acidic raspberry. Flavour is light sulphorish raspberry and mild fruity with a light acidic touch. Finish is mild sweet and dry sulphorish at once. Nice one. oh6gdx (6583), Vaasa, Finland Jul 24, 2006 Bottled. Orangeish red colour with small head. Aroma is raspberries. Flavour is weak raspberry, and nothing else. Empty and very watery beer. Still it has a mouthdrying finish.
