Mousse rosée pleine de bulles qui adhère sur les parois du verre. Couleur rouge-brunâtre. Sent les framboises sauvages. Bon dosage de framboises au goût. Un tantinet acidulé. Pas d’arrière-goût. Excellent.

Muddy brown coloured body with a fast-dying off-white head and no movement detected. Aroma of strong sweet raspberries, a touch of tartness, some light malt and a sliver of alcohol - mostly sweet though. Medium-bodied; Assertive effervescence with a linering acidic and sour note - potent and strong. Great sweet flavour with some grassy and herbal notes, a touch of icing sugar and a very potent raspberry flavour that cannot be missed. Overall, a surprisingly good (given the rating) framboise fruit beer that I would actually sample again, that is, if I could find it on this side of the pond. I sampled this 25 cL bottle purchased at Beer Mania in Bruxelles, Belgium on 17-November-2008, sampled at home on 11-February-2011 in Washington.

UPDATED: APR 8, 2004 Bottle from the Offie, Leicester. This was labelled as a Belgian Celis beer, i.e. brewed by Van Steenburge. Glorius iced-bun aroma, sweet and fluffy. Quite sweet, but balanced raspberry flavour, with some equalising beeriness present on the finish, which is quite short. This seemed as lambic as Lindemans Framboise, but in any case is not the best example of the style. But still tasty.

Quite dark pink in colour. Aromas are phew, lots of raspberry. Flavours are sweet raspberry with some sourness. Not much to say - its a decent low alcohol fruit refresher.

Garrafa. Coloração cereja, com um creme cor-de-rosa gigantesco, consistente e persistente. Aroma de detergente. Cerveja agradável, mas para degustá-la em pequenas proporções, em razão de sua doçura excessiva.

Dull thick red beer with a musty strawberry aroma and a strawberry flavour with a chemical finish. Overall a plain strawbery drink.

Pinkish tinted, collapsing foam, irregular; hazy brown-red beer. Not very convincing raspberry nose, as very sweet raspberry jam. Slight acidity, pleasing with obvious raspberry flavours. Much better taste than some of this twisted children's drinks. Some body's there. Acidburn, though mild. All in all, not bad. Makes the Celis link believable. Compared to some other recent horrors in this 'style', it might even appear great.
