mabel (2208), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Apr 19, 2009 [1995-20090213] Bottle. Sweet heavy celery yeast and floral toasted hay aroma. Slightly hazy, pale yellow body with a long-lasting creamy white head and some central bubbles. Mild floral yeast flavour with toasted sweet hints of corn. Light-medium body. Good. Papillon (139), Sudbury, Ontario, Canada Mar 26, 2009 330 mL Bottle picked up at an LCBO outlet March 26; Best-Before Date 05/09. Pale cloudy straw yellow body, very lively carbonation with a small quickly dissipating soapy head leaving some lacing. Grainy-yeasty aroma with a hint of lime. Very sweet but thin in the mouth, as if a sweetener was added, wheat stands out in the taste along with notes of pear, bananas, citrus, peach, and green grapes followed by a whisper of cloves. C’mon, Belgium, you can do much better :( GRM (1109), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada Mar 19, 2009 Brown bottle, 330 ml, 5,5 %, best before 05 09, purchased at the LCBO on November 27 2008, savoured on March 19 2009; eye: straw, clear, good effervescence, voluminous white head that turns into a tiny ring, light lacing; nose: yeast, wheat, fruity, lots of sugar; mouth: yeast, wheat, fruity, citrusy, spices, finale in residual sugar with presence of wheat, rather sweet, quite carbonated, medium-light body, sticky texture; overall: disappointing

Poured hazy pale yellow with dissipating white bubbly head. Citrus yeast aroma. Very light mouthfeel, low carbonation. Mild citrus and spices. I tried this beer on September 12, 2008 at "Smokeless Joes" in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The beer pours a cloudy golden yellow with a thick, bubbly, white head that lingered. The aroma was malted wheat, cloves, and some sweet banana. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with medium carbonation. The flavour was very crisp with hints of banana, cloves, and nutmeg, all on a wheaty base. JohnBarleycorn (390), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Nov 30, 2008 Bottle. Cloudy yellow beverage a good representation of a white. Über-inviting spicy aroma features cardamom, clove, nutmeg and a hint of lemony freshness. Palate is unfortunately a little thin. Nice lemony flavour with a good malt backbone, but lacks the punch the aroma was hinting at. Only okay. terrybail (312), London, Ontario, Canada Oct 28, 2008 Bottle from the LCBO

I have misplaced my comments for this beer Slacks (394), Bolton, Ontario, Canada Oct 11, 2008 330ml Bottle: I had high hopes for this one, and sadly it didn’t live up. Pours very pale yellow, seriously looks like urine. Aroma is heavy on lemon, a little skunky, and something quite sour. Flavour is initially harshly carbonated, a bit off-putting, almost like soda pop. Catching that skunkiness once again (perhaps mine is off?), alongside the usual suspects - lemon, citrus, coriander. It’s all a bit boring and underwhelming, sadly.
