Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 19, 2004 very corriander wheat ale, with orange to give it flavour. OK Wheat beer with creamy mouthfeel and medium texture. Some smoke and astringency. Needed 3 other mates to finish. Crockett (904), Steelback County, Ontario, Canada Jun 19, 2004 Slight skunked aroma with some coriander and tangerine. Cloudy pale straw. Tiny white head. Watery and dull. Some honey and lots of green grass. Mild citric sour, sweet and spice. Some yeast in the middle. Weak chalky dry finish. Lacks character. Nice looking wit. JoeMcPhee (4893), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Jun 18, 2004 Cloudy bright yellow colour and a thin white head. Coriander, wheat, lemony citrus, and a slightly sour aroma. Flavour also shows bright citrus, spice, and yeastiness. A thirst-quenching easy-drinking brew. Michael Tuguigui (16), concord, Ontario, Philippines Jun 15, 2004 nice light wheat taste, with an aroma thats not to strong but not to light.
Light and easy to drink Radek Kliber (3926), Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), Ontario, Canada Jun 15, 2004 Pleasant light wheat aroma, some fresh yeast. Decently sized white head, slightly cloudy, gold. Very nice, very soft, plenty of malt and wheat grain. Medium bodied, very drinkable nice light wit. Beer Snob (378), Ontario, Canada Jun 11, 2004 A very tasty surprise.
Doesn’t look too impressive, but what a sweet aroma - lemony, zesty - I felt refreshed just sniffing this beer. Taste was good as well, some bitterness, low on the spiciness and high on the spritziness. Finished nice and crisp. Will definitely be buying this one again. Wheatsheaf (104), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Jun 9, 2004 330ml bottle. A pale yellow and slightly hazy witbier that pours with a white, foamy, lasting head. This doesn’t appear to be bottle-conditioned, so the haziness is less than in some comparable beers. Fresh white bread and dried orange peel aroma. Light-to-medium body with a creamy/watery mouthfeel and a very soft carbonation. Bready wheat and malt tastes, some sweet marmalade fruitiness, a present but restrained coriander and orange peel spiciness, and a light bitterness characterize the flavour. A safe, but tasty witbier. Boutip (2334), Gatineau, Quebec, Canada Jun 7, 2004 Bottle: Poured a yellow hazy beer with a nice head that dissipated a bit too soon. Aroma is a mix of wheat and citrus. Taste is quite refreshing with again notes of citrus and wheat being the most obvious. Very good example of the style and very refreshing after this hot weekend.
