Aroma shows lemon, coriander, wheat and grapefruit. The flavour is very citrusy - orange, grapefruit and lemon could all easily be inferred. It is bordering on being overtly sweet, but thankfully doesn’t cross the line entirely. In fact, the citrusy notes go to another level, a little bit of yeast kicks in and this works to provide a quenching, off-dry finish. Light-bodied and refreshing - a beginner’s wit that still holds some interest due to the lack of any hoppiness and the overt, wide-ranging citrus character. MartinT (5050), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Coriander, wheat, lemony citrus, and a slightly sour aroma. Flavour also shows bright citrus, spice, and yeastiness. A thirst-quenching easy-drinking brew. Lubiere (4491), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

Aroma of wheat, yeast and lemony coriander. Creamy mouthfeel, sweet and smooth. Notes of bananas and light spices, lacking in depth. OK white. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 4, 2005 Bottle (330ml). Shared with blankboy at Smokeless Joe. Poured murky pale yellow-orange with a small white head. Aroma - whoah, bacon! A belgian wheat and I get BACON?!! Also citrus, ashy belgian wheat character, coriander, fruit - quite different. Taste is not of bacon, but there’s a smokiness here, also plenty of spice (coriander, black pepper), citrus (lemon), some light sweet malt, light hops, cereal grains and a floral/perfumy finish. Mouthfeel is quite spicy and lively. An oddball belgian witbier, but I really liked that smoked bacon character. Sammy (3981), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
