(Can) Pale golden colour, frothy white head. A pinch of butterscotch and some hops but an overall pretty weak aroma of wet cornflakes. Medium bitterness with some fruity hops and orange squash in the finish. Medium to strong carbonation with a thin body but an OK mouthfeel overall. I’ve had cans with a more prominent hop aroma, but this one was pretty tired.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 4 Oct 2012) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of citrus, peaches and slightly sourish malt. Malty, fruity taste with peaches, citrus, hints of vegetables and a decent bitterness in the finish. Light body, fairly dry. Quite ambitious, but doesn’t really reach up to it’s aspirations. Decent.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
[keg, SBWF2012] Rare chance (at the Stockholm Beer Festival) to try a kegged version of the usually can-only Sir Taste a Lot. Name something of a misnomer – it’s a good 3.5% kegged ale, although the cold serve meant the flavour struggled to get through. Grassy and quite perfumey, crisp on the finish. Decent enough

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
0.5 L can from MaxiMat, Charlottenberg. A clear, deep golden pour, topped by a finger of dense eggshell-colored foam. A pretty nice scent from the Amarillo hops added. Lemon and oranges and some peachy tones. Mealy or flour-ish malts in the background. Light body. Slick in the mouth. Taste is hop driven. Fruity bitterness with a sourish and piney edge. Restrained, mealy and mellow malt body. Sourish and bitter endnotes. Not very sophisticated, but the generous amount of hops makes it one of the more quaffable 3.5% beers.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
500 ml can. Pours clear golden with medium-sized off-white head. Strong floral and hoppy aroma with jasmin, sweet malt as undertone, pear, pineapple, mild berries and spicy notes. Really nice floral, hoppy taste with tropical fruits. Quite bitter. Light to medium bodied, low carbonation, oily to watery mouthfeel. Beautiful hoppy finish. The use of hops in this beer is really nice and well-balanced. Suprisingly good for such a low ABV. Complex and refreshing. It´s very rare for a premium lager to actually be premium.
