Canned. Clear deep golden, rocky head. Evident hoppy tropical fruit aroma. Sweetish with light body and clean mouthfeel. Completely dominated by perfumy hops, mango and pineapple. The slightest hint of boiled vegetables peeps through in a salty finish with resiny bitterness. What took the big guys so long to figure out that using enough hops will cover the flaws in their lagers? This is simplistic, but certainly pretty enjoyable for what it is.

Svesse (5207) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - NOV 2, 2012
(Draught at Stockholm Beer Festival, 4 Oct 2012) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of citrus, peaches and slightly sourish malt. Malty, fruity taste with peaches, citrus, hints of vegetables and a decent bitterness in the finish. Light body, fairly dry. Quite ambitious, but doesn’t really reach up to it’s aspirations. Decent.

OleR (4247) - Oslo, NORWAY - AUG 31, 2012
0.5 L can from MaxiMat, Charlottenberg. A clear, deep golden pour, topped by a finger of dense eggshell-colored foam. A pretty nice scent from the Amarillo hops added. Lemon and oranges and some peachy tones. Mealy or flour-ish malts in the background. Light body. Slick in the mouth. Taste is hop driven. Fruity bitterness with a sourish and piney edge. Restrained, mealy and mellow malt body. Sourish and bitter endnotes. Not very sophisticated, but the generous amount of hops makes it one of the more quaffable 3.5% beers.
