Bottle at James’s 4k/5k/10k tasting. Pours a hazed gold with a thin white head. Soft musk and lemon. Slightly floral, musk and a touch lemony and medicinal. Musky, toasty and warm, full of musk and a hint of yeast. Chewy yeast and a lot more musk. Very nice.

Shared with PaleAleRider at Pub Italia, in a snifter. Pours a cloudy golden colour with a soapy white head that dissapates quickly, with a little ring around, and not much lace. Mild Belgian Ale yeast nose with light spices and orange notes. Orange taste with again, light spices, but mostly fruity (hints of bananas with some wheat). It eventually becomes spicier. Medium-bodied. A refreshing witbier for those who prefer them on the orange-side of things, rather than the corriander. Gets better as it warms up, but still lack a little character. Not worth the price (even in the liquor store).

750 ml bottle from ...LCBO?, served almost cold in a tulip glass.

App.: Hazy bright straw with a frail bright white head. Aroma: Quite a lot of yeast and wet bread dough, some banana esters, lighter phenolics, citrus and earthiness from coriander, wheat and cereals, note bad. Palate: Medium-ish body, relaxed effervescence. Flav.: More wheat and cereal, a bit peppery, diminished esters/phenols, still somewhat yeasty, decent; dry with somewhat more bitterness than expected (still fairly low) and a pleasant citrus and faint ester finish.

This bottle is a bit “aged”. The beer inside is still nice.

Bottle - 750mL crowned. Cloudy gold with a medium, frothy white head. Aroma is wheat, powdery yeast, soft citrus, candied fruit and soft spice. Taste is slightly more spicy with toasted grains, wheat, candied fruit, lemony notes, bubblegum and yeast. Body is light and creamy with a soft, dense, bubbly carbonation. Ends with more toasted grains, wheat, yeast, light candied fruit, lemon and soft spice.

Cheers!

Upfront coriander and orange and tart taste. Tastes pretty typical of a wit bier. Good for the style, but again pricy for what it is. Could do with a bit less coriander and orange peel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

pours hazy light golden with a decent white head, some retention and lacing. wheat, graininess, lemon zest and oranges, spicy coriander - slightly too much of these ’’non-pure’’ ingredients. hint of sweetness and acidity. although it surely adds freshness to the brew. prickly carbonation without it being aggressive, light body, decent herbal-grassy-citrusy finish. ok.

Bouteille 750ml.
