(750ml bottle) Pours a hazy amber body with a small beige head. Aroma of raisins, mustiness, cola, and cocoa. Flavor of raisins, yeast, citrus, berries, caramel, and roasted grain.

Very dark brown, quickly disappearing beige head. Sweet smell of malts, caramel, burnt sugar, some dark fruits, some alcohol. Similar taste, more burnt sugar, caramel, little bitterness in the finish with a slight alcoholic warming. Very good.

Fancy schmansy 75cl bottle courtesy of SHIG. It pours with a murky dark amber body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up malt sweetness, brown sugar, prunes, cherries, molasses and some nuttiness. This all goes together nicely. The taste is smooth and rich with prunes swimming in molasses as well as brown sugar covered hazelnuts. It then picks up a bit of roasted malts to help add balance to the sweetness. Nice indeed.

A 330 cl bottle from Legacy Liquor in Vancouver. Very dark with moderate beige head. Malts on the nose. Flavor is very malty and very sweet as well as tasting somewhat of dried fruits. Very rich and oily mouth feel. Enjoyable winter beer, but too sweet with too little hops for my notion of a barleywine.

Color mogano con schiuma quasi inesistente. Al naso frutta matura, note etiliche e punte di tostato. In bocca asseconda bene la gradazione, ma forse un pÚ troppo dolciastra.

330 ml bottle. Pours brown with light head. Aromas of toffee, grass, and toasted malts. Flavor of brown sugar, toasted malts, alcohol, and acidic hops. Not bad but seems a bit plain for a barley wine.

Bottled 0,33L. Dark brown braced color, bronze and bubbly aspect with a creamy long head duration. Intence and rich aroma, solid alcoholic perception, notes of caramel, liquer, braced cereals, cellar. Overbanding alcoholic mouth (excessive for my palate), flowery and interesting caramel final.

Brown pour with a tan head. The aroma has some brown sugar and toffee. The flavor is full of toffee, coffee, sugar and molasses. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Bottle. Very hazy amber body with orange highlights and a low golden head. Aroma is malty with boozy undertones, notes of chocolate and fruity caramel. Sweet malty palate, caramel with cooked apple undertones, some dusty cocoa, warm finish, slightly boozy. Satisfying.

Bottle. Very murky brown. Looks like watered down poo. Little chunks suspended. The cap was nice and dense off white, but reduces pretty quick. Aroma of dark fruit and spices. And pine? Taste is resinous malt. More pruney than anything right now. A few sips in just leaves a watery palate with diluted toffee. Cripes. It feels like sand in my mouth. So weird. It's not terrible, just doesn't sustain flavor well. And the appearance is bugging me. Like someone's playing a trick on all of us and laughing that they're brewed poo is getting these ratings. Nonetheless, I'm pleased I didn't have to pay for this intoxicating prank.

Bottle from Caponeís shared with neighbors. Pours thick and turnid ruddy dark brown with minimal head. Nose is fruity, earthy, funky, and has notes of molasses. Tastes fruity, oaky, with cherry and berry fruit notes, some funky oaky yeasty flavors, and a complex flavor profile and complex palate. All who tried this craved more, and I thought it was outstanding, and one that approached the prized beer/spirit double-point.
