Bottle into a wine glass. Pours a red amber with next to no head. Taste is over the top, fruit and malt. Finish is like a fine wine. A very good beer.

KyotoLefty (4719) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAR 15, 2012
Bottle at Taste Firenze. Pale brown with lace. Salty nose with raisins and chocolate.. Rich, deep flavor of dried fruits and chocolate, but not sweet. Minerals, with a dry finish and a somewhat light body. Interesting rich maltiness but lacking sweetness. An original, nice dubbel.

callmemickey (1335) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 6, 2012
Deep muddy amber body. Medium-thin light tan head. Dark fruits, caramel, nutty, a little orange zest and faint chocolate. Medium-full bodied. A little muddled. Lacking the complexity in the better dubbel-style offerings.

Bottle thanks to noodleuser. Big notes of cinnamon and clove spice, sweet orange, nectar fruit, caramel, and toffee molasses. Definitely seems to be some oxidation. Bleh.

GT2 (5657) - Riverslime, California, USA - OCT 8, 2011
750mL thanks to noodleuser. Weirdly shaped bottle. Pour is clear deep red with a weak off-white head. Spotty lace. Nose is malty with lemon, small detergent, mild chemical, small chocolate, phenols, sweeter lime. Odd. Muted maple character. Taste is thinner, intense maltiness, astringent malt, big huskiness, medicinal clove and cinnamon. Decent.
