reebtogi (4039) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - DEC 21, 2012
330ml bottle pours an orange brown color with a finger and a half of white head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is light fruit (possibly peaches) and hints of spice (coriander?) and yeast. Taste is a fruity and caramel malty sweetness with some spices and a spicy hop bitterness. Medium bodied with abundant carbonation leaving a pleasant mouth feel. Overall, a well done dubbel that is worth a go.

Poured from bottle. Caramel and malt aroma. Solid mahogany. Caramel brown sugar, banana, vanilla and spice flavors. Similar to Belgian beers Iíve tried. Good finish. Well done - surprisingly good for an italian beer.

Bottle into a wine glass. Pours a red amber with next to no head. Taste is over the top, fruit and malt. Finish is like a fine wine. A very good beer.

KyotoLefty (6141) - Kyoto, JAPAN - MAR 15, 2012
Bottle at Taste Firenze. Pale brown with lace. Salty nose with raisins and chocolate.. Rich, deep flavor of dried fruits and chocolate, but not sweet. Minerals, with a dry finish and a somewhat light body. Interesting rich maltiness but lacking sweetness. An original, nice dubbel.

callmemickey (2474) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 6, 2012
Deep muddy amber body. Medium-thin light tan head. Dark fruits, caramel, nutty, a little orange zest and faint chocolate. Medium-full bodied. A little muddled. Lacking the complexity in the better dubbel-style offerings.
