Bottle, with a pain-in-the-ass plastic faux-wax seal. Pours a medium golden that is clear until the very end when a bolus of floculent particles snow-globes the glass. Sweetish tinned pineapple flavour with noble hop character and bitterness. There is a metallic tang in here that I do not care for. Not horrible, but not one I’d ever care to have again.

Apricots on the nose with hints of Brett. Stoner pours slightly hazy, dark gold with a white head. Herbal fruity flavors with Brett. and hints of mint. The taste is very floral, very nice.

Must have had some flack from the name. My bottle says Stone R. Expensive custom bottles with plastic wrap on the neck and cap. Lots of sediment. Dark gold, cloudy or just thick. White foam. Aroma is subdued dirty wheat with ghosts of fruit, aluminum and alcohol tickling the corners of your memory. Smooth at first but then big alcohol and ?? note ride across the tongue. Seems puzzling that such a smooth body can hide this evil force. Is it intentionaly rough in a Blonde Bastard way or is this an unintended flaw? Each sip leaves me more confused. I keep drinking so I must like it or is that what it wants? Am I under a spell?

330ml green bottle. Pours out golden with some orange. Hazy, lots of suspended particles. White head is creamy, leaves nice lacing. Malty nose, hint of peach/stonefruit, maybe a little tropical fruit. Taste has fruity notes, peach, orange peels, lemon tanginess, light background malt sweetness, and some pleasant Belgian yeastiness. Light hoppiness, a bit lemony and grassy, dry finish. Nice fine beaded soft carbonation and a medium body. Alcohol remains well hidden, very drinkable. Not terribly complex, but really enjoyable. Not sure what style they were aiming for here but the result is nice.

330ml bottle poured a golden color with an abundance of floating particles with 2 fingers of white head that settled down to some light lacing. Aroma was earthy hops. Taste was earthy hops balanced decently with some malty sweetness. Medium body and nice carbonation give a nice presentation on the palate. This was quite an enjoyable beer.

Pours a cloudy, completely opaque, dark golden yellow color with a half finger white head that immediately disappears leaving no lacing. Sligtly spicy aroma with a faint earthy hop presence along with a prominent bread/yeast character, light fruit and booze. Grassy hops with some lemon zest and coriander. Crisp citrus fruit with a strong banana and lemon presence. Medium bodied with some soft carbonation up front which compliments the delicate hops and peppery spice. Picking up some clove or corriander along with spicy, grassy hops up front that slowly give way to the bread/yeast flavor which is very prominent mid-palate. Lots of banana flavor along with some tart citrus, especially lemon peel. Mouthfeel is fuller than expected with some boozy heat in the finish. Still this is well balanced and complex while remaining easy to drink. An interesting take on the style. Described as a blonde but made with malted wheat, tasting more like a reved up, yet still subtle, German wheat/heffe.

Bevuta a cena a casa di Giulia, comprata da Squillari, non è che mi abbia troppo convinto.. leggermente abboccata per i miei gusti (mappazza)

Bottle that I found in my cellar. Must be at least 2+ years old, I forgot it was in there. Exploded has I cracked it like all these Bruton beers seemed to do. Medium to light very hazy yellow with slow motion rising bubbles. Aroma is quite nice - yeasty, dry, fruity - really neat citrus/floral thing going on. Taste - not bad for the age and exploding bottle really. Dry earthy malt, field berries, malt sweetness only near the end, no candy sugar like the style suggests. Some alcohol, but not much. Not a ton of flavour - a little bland, not complex, but not too bad really. A pleasant easy to drink surprise considering a) the ratings b) the age and c) that I had forgotten about it. Thanks to Drew in KW who I bought this from many moons ago.
