UPDATED: JUN 20, 2010 2010-06-05, RBESG 2010, bottle at Sforno, Rome, 7-4-7-4-15=37 Cloudy blond color. Nice hop aroma, perfumy. Sweetish Triple beer, malty, a bit spicy and lightly fruity, just well balanced and pleasant.
2007-03-23, draught at Salone Della Birra Artigianale e di Qualità 2007, Milan, 6-4-7-3-13=33 with bitter and sweet oranges; coriander; Vienna malt; Northen Brewer and Hersbrucker hops Hazy golden color; creamy head. The aroma is lightly perfumed, very light fruitness (yellow fruits, says the brewer). Full body, some malt, light orang fruitness, traces of yeast and maybe diacetyl. The bitterness rises at the end. Not bad. The sweetness is pleasant. Rough as the others.

Bel colore dorato con schiuma fine. Al naso il fruttato leggero si alterna alla speziatura. Anche al palato la nostra conferma le impressioni olfattive, ma con un bel finale secco e leggermente pepato. Birra fatta davvero bene. Nasconde splendidamente anche la non bassa gradazione.

Poured out somewhat of a cloudy orange brew due to the ton of sediment I dumped out. Ood sized light tan head that sticks well. Sweet orangy grassy smell with a faint herbal thing with a familiar Belgian fresh spice. The aroma doesn’t fade much either. The flavour ain’t bad but ain’t great either. Too much sweetness that come across on the thick side, good spice with bite that almost comes from the alcohol but I think comes from the yeast. Rich taste - not something I’m fond of. Grainy. The aftertaste is too sharp. Decent beer but not for me.

At the Atlantic City Beer Fest. The aroma is sweet, honey, caramel, spicy. The appearance is slightly hazy orange, white head. The flavor is like the aroma, only more honey. The finish is honey sweetness, noble hops. Good.

Wow. A lot of bad ratings on this one. I actually liked it a lot. Everything about this brew scream citrus and grapefruit with splashes of bread and toffee. A good brew.

Bottle at Taste Firenze. Lovely sweet ripe yellow fruits plus honey, with a dry, mineral hoppiness to balance. Very drinkable and nice.

Bottle 330 ml from Globus - Marin (CH). Dark yellow and muddy beer, creamy white fugacious foam, wild and fine crackling. Aromas of malt, lemon, toffy, yeast and coriander. The taste is soft, creamy, fruity with toffy-sugar, earthy hops, cereals bread and jam lemon-apricot, fruity sweetmeat. Allows the mouth dry and perfumed. Nice.

Bright golden-orange body. Hazy with a creamy white cap. Spotty lacing. Assertive citric notes, mellow yeast presence. Refreshing, medium to light bodied with appropriate carbonation. Enjoyable offering that could be a bit more complex but otherwise is pleasant.

The pour is a hazed golden yellow color with a white head. A fairly bland aroma. It features notes of grass and lemon peel, maybe some straw and honey. Sort of bland and "meh", though. The flavor is really no better/different. A bit watery and stale, though there are some sweet malt and honey flavors. A touch of corn, perhaps, and a bit of grass and straw and citrus peel.

Bottle from Star Grocery in Berkeley CA. Pours light hazy gold with a slight white head. Aroma is light spice. Med body or better. Flavor is sweetish light stone fruit. Yet it’s dry. The beer feels really great in the mouth. It’s a pleasure to drink. Yet I can’t figure out how to describe it other than dry and fruity. Mild spice.
