(330ml bottle) Purchased at Vintage Liquors in the Rialto Hotel. Pours a thin white head atop a very sediment-filled orange body. Nose of alcohol, pepper and sweet malt. Very bitter and spiced. Odd, Iíve not liked any of the Bruton until now. This isnít fantastic but itís better than the average.

Aroma is caramel, sweet malts and slight honey. Taste is medium rich maltiness with a well balanced bitterness that mellows out. Appearance is a murky yellow/orange with fine sediment in suspention. The thin pearl head retains very poorly.

Cloudy straw yellow. Fairly carbonated. Aromas of light belgian yeast esters, light lemon, light banana. Taste follows, nicely tart with lively carbonation. Simple but enjoyable.

A bit sweet, and but well balanced. A nice dryness finishes the flavor. Not overly notable, but solid

hazy golden color. Yeasty nose with moderate hops. Very Belgian-esque . Mouth is med heavy. Very yeasty. Good Belgian golden ale without taking me anywhere special.

Shared 750 ml. bottle poured to snifters, showing a hazed, straw color, with frothy, white head foam that diminished rather quickly to a persistent ring & film, and left some clingy spots & streaks of lacing on the glass. The nose was citrusy as tangerine, noticeable, but subtle Belgian yeast, light spice, with a Kool-Aid-like sweetness. The taste was similar notes, quite sweet, with spritzy carbonation, a bit of silk on the tongue, in a light body. A mild but decent Special Blonde.

Bottle shared with Linh and family in Maryland 2014. Pours a bright hazy orange golden body with thick, active white lacing. Aroma is super yeasty with notes of lemon, banana, spice and peppery character. Mouthfeel is carbonated and prickly with spice and notes of banana, pepper, yeast and light fruit.

Appearance: bright, slightly opaque gold with light orange highlights, and a fizzy, quickly vanishing white head; very little lacing. Aroma: floral and spicy with yeast up front, then a good dose of melon and mango, with orange zest, lemongrass, and champagne. Taste: crackery pilsner malts with melon, vanilla, lightly toasted almonds, a hint of banana, a bit of phenolic yeast, some apricot. Finish: slightly dry, with a champagne-like fizz, short-lived fruity sweetness, and a bit of mineral bitterness. Notes: Palate was extraordinarily drinkable, especially for a 7+ percent beer. Flavors were complex and yet somehow farmhouse-simple. Entire bottle was gone before I knew it, and nicely complemented a platter of chinese food. Bottle from the Rare Beer Club.

"Drinkable" says both not a lot and implies, perhaps, a lack of complexity. But this beer is drinkable. A yummy, slight sweetness and a slightly yeasty, cloudiness in this Belgian blonde style done damn well by Italians. I would absolutely buy this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

ChainGangGuy (4420) - Marietta, Georgia, USA - JUN 7, 2014
Appearance: Pours a well-hazed, pale, hay-hued body with a smallish, altogether brief, white head.

Smell: Fairly aromatic florals, phenolic spiciness, and a hint of banana bread atop pilsner maltiness. Additional hints of menthol, muddled yeasts, scant citrus, stonefruits.

Taste: Lightly bready pils malts and a honey-tinged cereal sweetness. Rather perfumy floral tones early on. White grapefruit, apricot, and subtle banana. Generous pinch of coriander. The beer becomes a bit sourish midway with an encroaching taste of camphor, and, then, the beer quickly dries as you approach the crispish, lightly warming finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied. Medium-plus carbonation.

Overall: A decent, drinkable brew.

Bottiglia 75cl @ baccicin du caru. Chiara con schiuma non troppo persistente. Corpo pesantuccio, luppolatura che si sente, un pÚ strana ma non male.
