3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(330ml bottle) Purchased at Vintage Liquors in the Rialto Hotel. Pours a thin white head atop a very sediment-filled orange body. Nose of alcohol, pepper and sweet malt. Very bitter and spiced. Odd, Iíve not liked any of the Bruton until now. This isnít fantastic but itís better than the average.

If you like fin du monde or delirium tremens, consider this a somewhat lighter version and, as with those others well, anytime, any place.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Thanks Ogi! Shared with him and Jablanko. Poured a misty yellow body with a big white head. Creamy aroma, orange juice, yeasty, spicy, sweet, light banana. Sweet creamy yeasty taste, light orange, creamy, dusty, light bubblegum. Nice but not thrilling.. gets boring even.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma is caramel, sweet malts and slight honey. Taste is medium rich maltiness with a well balanced bitterness that mellows out. Appearance is a murky yellow/orange with fine sediment in suspention. The thin pearl head retains very poorly.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A bit sweet, and but well balanced. A nice dryness finishes the flavor. Not overly notable, but solid

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Shared 750 ml. bottle poured to snifters, showing a hazed, straw color, with frothy, white head foam that diminished rather quickly to a persistent ring & film, and left some clingy spots & streaks of lacing on the glass. The nose was citrusy as tangerine, noticeable, but subtle Belgian yeast, light spice, with a Kool-Aid-like sweetness. The taste was similar notes, quite sweet, with spritzy carbonation, a bit of silk on the tongue, in a light body. A mild but decent Special Blonde.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Appearance: bright, slightly opaque gold with light orange highlights, and a fizzy, quickly vanishing white head; very little lacing. Aroma: floral and spicy with yeast up front, then a good dose of melon and mango, with orange zest, lemongrass, and champagne. Taste: crackery pilsner malts with melon, vanilla, lightly toasted almonds, a hint of banana, a bit of phenolic yeast, some apricot. Finish: slightly dry, with a champagne-like fizz, short-lived fruity sweetness, and a bit of mineral bitterness. Notes: Palate was extraordinarily drinkable, especially for a 7+ percent beer. Flavors were complex and yet somehow farmhouse-simple. Entire bottle was gone before I knew it, and nicely complemented a platter of chinese food. Bottle from the Rare Beer Club.
