Amber colour with thin white head. Hoppy aroma with a malty, somewhat bitter flavour and hoppy finish. An enjoyable IPA.

Appearance: clear pale amber with one fat finger of rocky ivory head, good retention and moderate lacing. (4/5) Aroma: bready caramel, grass and earth, light floral. (6/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate bitter. (6/10) Medium body, moderate carbonation, malty lightly bitter finish. (3/5) A pretty typical E/IPA - malty, grassy, little bit floral. They tell me they sneak a little Centennial in there, but it doesn’t really seem to come through over the East Kent Goldings and the Tettnang. Fairly sessionable pint, though - a guy could spend a long leisurely afternoon with a few of these. (13/20)

On tap on premise. Clear orangey with a small off-white head, moderate retention, leaving some lacing. Not much aromatic hops here, caramel notes, mild spiciness, hints of soap and resinous notes. Taste isn’t juicy by any mean but the caramel-ish backbone isn’t cloying and the mild spiciness and herbal / resinous presence is ok. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Caramel-ish and mildly spicy finish. Not bad, just boring.

On tap at brewpub. Aroma: caramel. Not much more. Maybe a tad floral. App: clear copper with minimal white head. Taste and palate: medium body, light sweetness, watery, light dry and long bitter finish. Soft carbonation. Overall: a below average IPA. At least it was bitter.

Draught @ Brutopia, Montréal. Looks the part, middle of the road, but is that a lacto funk...?

Poured from a tap. clear golden color, medium frothy white head. Disappointing aroma, mild hops. Medium body with a bitter metallic flavor and a light finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from draft at brutopia in Montreal. Red clear color. White foamy head. Has that malty Carmel hop flavor I don’t really like. This bar/brewery is awesome though - an old house turned over.

On tap. Pours a clear amber with a thick white head. Aroma of toasted, bready malt, jam, light fruits, floral hops. Flavor of spicy, bready malt, toasted malt, spicy hops, light grassy hops. Probably best described as a hoppy APA. Very drinkable. 7/4/8/4/14 (3.7/5)

This is a malt heavy IPA, with a lot more caramel in the nose than hops, the presence of which is faint, Light copper/amber color, looks a little soapy. Moderately bitter, but you will find plenty of sweet malt without it being a sugar bomb. Old world ale that might be called an amber ale in the new school lexicon.
