Amber colour with thin white head. Hoppy aroma with a malty, somewhat bitter flavour and hoppy finish. An enjoyable IPA.

Poured from a tap. clear golden color, medium frothy white head. Disappointing aroma, mild hops. Medium body with a bitter metallic flavor and a light finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from draft at brutopia in Montreal. Red clear color. White foamy head. Has that malty Carmel hop flavor I don’t really like. This bar/brewery is awesome though - an old house turned over.

On tap. Pours a clear amber with a thick white head. Aroma of toasted, bready malt, jam, light fruits, floral hops. Flavor of spicy, bready malt, toasted malt, spicy hops, light grassy hops. Probably best described as a hoppy APA. Very drinkable. 7/4/8/4/14 (3.7/5)

This is a malt heavy IPA, with a lot more caramel in the nose than hops, the presence of which is faint, Light copper/amber color, looks a little soapy. Moderately bitter, but you will find plenty of sweet malt without it being a sugar bomb. Old world ale that might be called an amber ale in the new school lexicon.

On tap @ Brutopia Montreal. Pours a clear amber with a small white head. Aroma is apricot. Taste is a subtle sweetness like a halloween molasses candy but offset by an assertive hop bitterness. Interesting IPA. Need to try again to complete the rating.

Bonne.

UPDATED: JUN 12, 2012 I really liked this beer vs. what other say. Its not a American version of an IPA. Its very British. I hung with a dozen British expats drinking this watching euro 2012.. They probably had 15 other beers on tap but stuck I with this because it was going down good. I like it...its more of a bitter but something we dont get a lot of in the states. I think Brutopia is underrated and a must stop especially if you are downtown Montreal.

Pint @ Brutopia. Never had a canadian ipa that I liked. Not sure why I thought this would be any different. Tasted mealy and flat
