I had this on tap at the brewpub. It poured copper in color with a small beigeish head that was creamy. It did not last long. I am not a fan of sweet beer and that is exactly what this is. Tastes of maple syrup and not a great palate.

Bu sur place, 10 oz. Couleur rousse foncée, petit collet. Arome de malte fort avec un soupson d’érable. Goût de malte pas assé fermenté. Où est le goût d’érable?

5 april 2006. Pint on tap at the pub. Beige creamy head but small. Clear. Low carbonation. Red. Low maple aroma. Nutty flavor + low maple taste. It’s a fair beer

Half-pint at the brewpub, making a brave face in front of my host, Dr. tiggmtl. Medium oily amber, little to no head (same as IPA)...light, rather artificial sugary maple aroma...little bit of burnt malt to go with the cloying sugar, but not much real maple character...just...not good.

almost "rousse", small head. sickly sweet caramel aroma with a hint of maple. maybe a bit of citrus in the flavour but really really sweetr. like a hopped up rickard’s red with maple. still not good.

Golden amber colour. Crackerlike aroma shows little. Sweet palate with fruity notes of apricot and underripe oragnes. Underfermented.

I guess the sweetness detected is from the maple...Slightly roasty malt tickles the mineral water effect in the end...Bland and boring, not more appealing on paper than in the mouth...

Mild, sweet, malty aroma. Light copper colour with thin white fully diminishing head. Mild smoked maple in flavour but not not a lot of complexity or maltiness. Fairly thin and low carbonation. On tap at the brewpub.
