(printemps 2006)

draught@brewpub - hazy dark brown beer with a small head left; nice lace; solidly toasted malty and biscuity aroma, notes of hazelnut; a respectable malt backbone, pretty bitter and tasty; long toasted malty finish with more notes of nuts and some hoppy tones - balanced; a nice one

light in colour, malted notes and some sweetness again, some caramel. palate is caramel and some nutty bitterness but it is a light brew.

Tap at Brutopia. Pours a medium to light brown with a thinning head. Aroma is toffee, caramel, light nuts and chocolate but a medium to large diacetyl character gets bigger as it warms. Flavor is more butter, toast, slick plastic, burnt toast, chocolate and nuts with some earthy and mineral hints in the end. Meh.

Draft. Pours a dark bruin body with an off white head. Burnt malt body with a hint of toast and light butter. Licorice and light caramel tone. Thin and light, if not for the butter...
