From tap at brewery. Nice brown color. Main body flavor of tomato passata, notes of copper pennies and stale bruschetta. Overall would pair well with a bowl of bolognese. Keith and Tchad approve, slightly!

(printemps 2006)

draught@brewpub - hazy dark brown beer with a small head left; nice lace; solidly toasted malty and biscuity aroma, notes of hazelnut; a respectable malt backbone, pretty bitter and tasty; long toasted malty finish with more notes of nuts and some hoppy tones - balanced; a nice one

Tap at Brutopia. Pours a medium to light brown with a thinning head. Aroma is toffee, caramel, light nuts and chocolate but a medium to large diacetyl character gets bigger as it warms. Flavor is more butter, toast, slick plastic, burnt toast, chocolate and nuts with some earthy and mineral hints in the end. Meh.
