UPDATED: JUN 25, 2007 Draught (Ravintola Bruuveri, Helsinki). Very variable in quality, great at its best, one time in four, I guess. Actually off a few times I’ve ordered it. Rating only at its best. Wonderfully dark. Creamy maltiness on the nose. Hugely rich malty taste, plenty of bitterness too, but the malt stays as the aftertaste.

(Draught at the brewpub on 2009-06-16) Deep dark brown and clear. Small tan coloured head. Roastedness and liquorice in aroma. Medium bodied and watery palate with medium carbonation. Roastedness, liquorice, mould, bitterness and lightly ash in taste. Mould and roastedness in aftertaste.

Brown with a medium beige creamy head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt and coffee notes. Flavour was sweet with roasted malt, coffee and butter notes. Finished sweet. Just needs some more burned malt.

Draught at the brewpub. Dark reddish brown color with creamy head. Dry roasty aroma with coffee and charcoal. Dry roasty flavor with weird very disturbing moldy note. Firm bitterness and some grassy notes.

Draught at Panimoravintola Bruuveri, Helsinki. Blackish brown with a tan head; roasted amlt aroma; some chocolate malt to start, creamy, smooth, dry and nutty; with a dry and warming finish. Very pleasant.

Draught in Ravintola Bruuveri, Helsinki- Dark brown, almost black with a tan head. Not much of an aroma (perhaps down to the serving temperature) but slightly malty. The taste is malty and bitter and slightly roasted.

Small, tight head. Almost black color. Sweet, mildly hoppy, glueish and a bit weak aroma. Dry, salty, burnt flavor. Nasty metallic sidetouch. Semi-original but a bit too watery.

UPDATED: JUL 5, 2007 Draught at the brewpub. Near black, small creamy head. Aroma of aniseed and licorice. Dry with coarse mouthfeel and light-medium body. Hard and somewhat metallic with some burnt flavours complimented by grass and licorice. Salty finish with light resiny bitterness.

Black color; creamy head. Light aroma of caramel and roasted malt. The flavor is basically roasted malt, with caramel and some malt; the body is strong enough; maybe the bitterness deriving from the roasted malt is too much for me. Good.

Draught@brewpub. Dark brown colour, small brown head. Aroma is glue, malts and hops. Slight roastiness along with metallicness and malts in flavour. Also some caramel mixed in. Just plainly dissappointing and bad.
