COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
What began as mutual admiration between Sierra Nevada’s Grossman Family and Russian River’s Cilurzos has grown and progressed into genuine friendship. Brux began as an idea and has grown into something altogether different:

The liquid manifestation of change over time.

Refermented in the bottle with Brettanomyces bruxellensis, Brux will change and develop over time. Copper-colored, dry and complex, with slightly tart notes of green grass, pear, spice and lemon - this ale will progress in the bottle for many years.

Color of cider in the glass with an initially huge white head due to the aggressive carbonation. Aroma is light sour with green apple, spice, dry brett and light tart as well. Taste is heavy dry brett up front followed by apple and lemon with some tart notes and graininess into the finish. The brett imparts and almost champagne like dryness and flavor. Clean, dry mouthfeel. I like it.

Bottle purchased at Premier Gourmet in Niagara Falls New York. Pours a crystal copper and gold colour with a massive bubbly white head that disappears right away. If you look at the glass from the top down, it bubbles like a volcano. Nose is really

750mL bottle: Pours bright orange with a nice white head. Aroma of grassy hops, corriander and doughy yeast. Bubbly and slightly sours. Lots of effervescent, finishes dry and slightly bitter.

Pours an effervescent hazed golden with an orange hue; quite lively like a champagne with similar white bubbles for head. Dry, lightly musty aroma with notes of clementine/peel. A dry light bodied beer, bubbly with clementine-orange flavors as well as the peel and a bit of funk edge; certain characters are reminiscent to me of Polar Orange Dry soda and Orval.

750 ml bottle from Fischman’s Liquors (Chicago, IL). Been sitting on this for awhile. Pours a dulled golden orange hue, touches of haze, darkness in the body and middle. Some richer striking orange glowing edges and in the light. A cakey whitish head atop, high carbonation as it dies to a mellow layer, small lacing overall. Aromas are stauch bretty funk, florals, and gentle cobwebs. Some pineapple and firmer fruit elements, pear and grapefruit, lemon, and tartness come into the fold. More dryness, bretty funk, touch of cheese. Florals, grass. Dandelions, gentle spritzy quality on the nose. More brett, gentle tartness. Initial is lighter end of the fold, touches of dryness, cheese and cobwebs up front. Gentle tartness, dry funky brett, straw, and some horseblanket. Gentle dandelion, grass. Some bready dry malts, cereal elements. Backend is gentle cheese, dryness, some grapefruit and fuzz, dry cereal elements, florals, grass. Mellow cereal elements, straw. Nice nice flavors, well bretted and funky, with a gentle tartness that grows, lively carbonation. Overall, a solid wild experiment, dry overall, some touches of grain and cereal elements into the backend peek through, but bring back the florals, dryness, and funky brett influence. Solid offering.

This beer is a very complex colab wild beer. with the funkiness being the dominate aspect. the aroma is malty with some fruit and honey. the taste as flavors of apricots, spices and wild yeast making the bread quality.

The aroma is funk and sour with the leathery dank quality of brux. There is definitely malt here as well as hops and fruit. The appearance is copper gold with a small head. The taste is rich and complex with a bread like finish. The palate is smooth. Overall a nice tasting beer but I don’t like the aroma of brux.

Sampled at an ESBLS tasting. This is golden and hazy. A very small white foam. Funky yeast and is the aroma. This is earthy as in farmhouse beer. The wild taste is definitely there. Light fruit and some soft hop notes. It is lemony and grassy. I like this and find it complex and interesting as well as tasty.

Pours a hazy orange-yellow with a fluffy white head that tries it’s best to never go away. Smell is a dry, tart funk. Not much else to say about it. Taste is similarly dry, slightly sour with a very light fruitiness in the finish. Extremely crisp, highly effervescent. It’s not a particularly complex or interesting beer, but I do find it refreshing.

750ml bottle pours a hazy, mango orange with some thin, white head. Nose is straw, grass, dried lemon peel, lightly herbal, some green apple skins. Flavor was lightly tart, lightly acidic, green apple, straw, lemon, a little dusty, some cardboard, a little herbal. Medium bodied, heavy carb. I will probably put this bottle down for quite a few years.
