Nice gold color. Thin but dense head. Lite spicy Belgian nose. Crisp spicy attack. Ok finish.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured from bomber. Thin white head, doesnít stay long. Dark gold/orange color. A lot in the aroma: some funky sweet and sour with some earthy tones like yeast and malt perhaps. This is a subtle beer. I was expecting more sour but it is oh so slight. A nice dry finish that bring out the brett flavor. Honestly, there is a lot going on in this beer. Pretty tasty but it takes awhile to enjoy. Drink a glass or two before you really decide anything.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Poured from the bottle to a large stein. Comes out nice and orange hued. Plenty of head the dissipated quickly. But it keeps bubbling like a fountain soda. Dried orange peel on the nose with resiny hoppiness, and a banana nut bread. The palate doesnít have all that sweet banana which Iím glad about but there certainly is some sweetness in this beer. The hoppy flowers kind of linger in the background long into the finish becoming more apparent as everything else fades away. But there is also a herbal kineticness, if that makes any sense, to the finish on the back of the palate. Like mint or sage acting on your tongue minus the flavors. Strange. As I take more sips even more things come to mind. Wet forest floor, rotting wood sents. Not in a bad way. This is a very unique beer experience. I can say without contradicting myself here, its a very good beer, not my favorite but still worth the price, which was over the top. I say that because while I wouldnít drink it everyday, it definitely keeps you coming to the glass for something new. Its a complexity Iíd expect more from a wine then a beer.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
In a goblet: Lovely golden color, tons of carbonation. Head lasts about 90 seconds. The bubbles just donít stop.
The aroma is incredibly pungent; puckery sourness with a flowery hop aroma lingering afterward. Hints of white wine and champagne. Finishes very dry, with a surprisingly sweet berry scent. Whatever earthiness there is quickly fades in the background to the Belgian yeasts and flowery hops. And I havenít even taken a sip yet.
The sourness is definitely dominant, but not overwhelmingly puckery. It is more like a bubbly tonic water with some berry flavors and a sour finish. The white wine comparison is apropos here, but so is that of berry-flavored water. There is something just surprisingly hollow to the flavors at first. Once it warms up, the yeasts kick in, with some weeds and horseblanket.
The fizzy feel is creamy and almost overwhelming. Feels exactly like club soda, and I mean exactly. This is a very strange beer, but very pleasant. The aroma is almost otherwordly; the flavor is solid but a little disappointing frankly. I have a whole other half of a bottle left so I may still change my mind.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: MAY 4, 2013 Brux on tap at RR. 1oz pour.
A - Little darker than straw color. Hints of orange.
S - Smells like a bread citrus and peaches scent.
T - Very grassy like lemon grass. Mild hoppy bitterness. A lot more dry bread taste than Iíd like. Some coriander and bananas
M - Very light body, minimal funk and acidity.
O - This still needs some time. Itís a tasty beer but another year on it would be nice to get that OG down just a bit. I expect more honey and spices with time.
Update: Bottle at home. HUGE Pop of the cork could have broken a window. Lost about 25% of the bottle in foam. Smells very bretty more so than on tap. Also is a bit cloudier than the tap version. Finally, thereís a hint of funkiness on the nose as well. Taste is pretty much the same. More grass and less bananas. Still very young (of course) but Iíll keep my 2nd bottle around for a while to see how it develops.
Update 2: last bottled opened May 4th, í13 a year after bottling. honeslty unchanged and tastes a lot more watery than before. not happy with how this beer has developed. Really a shame as it could have been great.

Very nice, but you canít really taste the Brett at all in this. Needs some more time in the bottle, Iím afraid.

Straw with fast fading white head. Aroma is spicy with a hint of fruit. Overly carbonated and hollow tasting. Tastes like a bad orval clone.
