4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Appearance: Pours a hazy amber orange with micro film atop.
Aroma: Flowers, grandma perfume, funk, baby powder.
Taste: Dry cracker like malt, mild brett fruitiness,a little metallic, funky, citrusy.. Finishes bretty and bitter with a slight tart twang.
Mouthfeel: High prickly carbonation. Medium bodied.
Overall: If this becomes a full time or even seasonal beer, it will go down as a classic. The product deScription is spot on, dry and complex. Iíve been reading discussions elsewhere on this beer, with some disappointment over lack of tartness. Correct me if Iím wrong but I believe the term Wild Ale and Russian River take folks mind to the land of sours. Itís not sour, itís not a funk bomb, but all terminology and marketing aside, its a delicious beer.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle: hazy golden-orange pour with a large white head, fading quickly, and lots of fizzy activity. Aroma is lightly tart with lemon, funky with some barnyard notes, and a touch of bubble gum mixed in. Flavor starts with a punch of lemon tartness with some grass, followed by a light sweetening of pineapple and bubble gum together with a spicy touch of clove, cardamon, pepper and some funky yeast. Palate is tart and sweet with spice throughout but rather light in mouthfeel for as much carbonation showing in the glass. This beer is tasty and goes down easily with lots of flavor. Not a trace of the 8.3abv listed. I will be back for more.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Slightly hazy orange pour, very frothy lasting head and nice light funky citrus aroma. Flavor is also lightly funky malt, white grapes, pears and a some very refreshing citrus on the finish. Definitely worth the price.

4 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 17/20
Strong sour bretty funk on the nose, light cheese and persimmons. Clear amber, thick yellow head with little retention or glass adherence. Mouthfeel is flat and watery even for me (I dislike a lot of carbonation). No body.. Flavor is bretty and un-medicinal, the way I prefer it. Not at all sour, the aroma is quite misleading. Lemon zest present. Finishes with sweet cherries and cardamom. Great beer if not for the poor texture.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 bottle. Pours hazy gold with a fast disappearing head. Nose is a bit funky with a nice brett aroma. Taste is a bit milder than the nose with a very smooth body. Not real tart or acidic. More of a sour for the masses which is not necessarily a bad thing but nothing to test the senses.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is one tremendous beer. Pours a slightly hazy yellow. Barnyard funk greets the nose but does not overwhelm. The taste is sprightly with some funk and sour melding together. Some fruit notes tag along for the ride as well. Thanks to Sierra Nevada and Surly Goat for sharing.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
750 ml. bottle. Consumed, almost literally, at the foot of Mt. Hood. Lively carbonation. Orange and yellow hues blend together. Foamy top, for a few minutes, and then the head recedes. Straw, fruit, yeast, and subtle brett aroma. The aroma is not very pungent. The flavor is dull and insipid. The brett is noticeable, but doesnít add as much as I thought it would. The fruity yeast flavor is decent, but doesnít tie into the theme very well. A sour ale? Iím not so sure Iíd agree with that, had this been a blind tasting. The crisp, dry texture is nice, but again, I feel like Iím drinking a saison here, or something other than a sour ale. I was expecting more from a collaboration of this magnitude, but not everything they both touch is going to be amazing. Iím a little let down, but Iím glad to have tried this. I may purchase another, and let it sit, but I donít want to have to wait for a couple of years, just for this to be relatively good.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Waiting for this one to age...I expect it to get substantially better. Right now itís very dry and not that funky, needs more time. Itís blonde in color with significant white head. As it is, itís very dry and only slightly sweet. Lots of carbonation. Pleasing, but Iíd suggest people wait for it to develop.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Portland Bottle Shop with Carla. Pours a crystal clear gold with minimal foam that quickly disperses to none. Smells, dry and lightly sour of apple, banana and flanders red. Tastes mildly of banana with light earthy tones, hints of wheat and a mild sourness. Subtle, but tasty.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: DEC 27, 2012 Let me precede this by saying, DO NOT DRINK THIS FRESH! Great citrusy, tart aroma which lets the drinker down by presenting a very weak flavor. Once again, I feel like I am doing this beer a disservice by rating it after no aging. Pours with little to no head and a copper color. Honestly canít wait to try this after a year or so of aging.
