3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
(corked & caged bottle) Aroma is a nice blend of Belgian yeasts and sour ale. Foamy head dissipates early. The palate is modestly carbonated. At a young age, the flavor is slightly sour and tart with some mellowed Belgian malt; very nice. An expensive bottle at $17, but a unique and well crafted collaboration.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
750ml bottle, shared with Jay and Pam. Mostly clear golden orange color. Thin ring of white head. No lace sticks. So, with a wild ale, that I’ve been holding onto for 1-2 years, I was hoping that this was going to be sour. Especially since Russian River collaborated on it. The nose is bretty, oaky, citric and sour; the smell is promising. Any sourness is mostly up front, though. This beer is pretty sweet overall. To be fair, the bottle does say ’belgian-style refermented in the bottle w/ brett’, vs ’belgian ale with brett’. It tastes more like a straight up belgian ale than a sour, indeed. Bigger body. Smooth, lighter carbonation. Lightly creamy, More slick finish. Nice citric note, but a lot of belgiany yeast character. The citric note is in the background. Light spice. I have to say, it’s not bad, but I’m a bit disappointed with this one. Alright stuff. A nice belgian ale, really, if you look at it that way... but a disappointing sour.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours a clear yellow gold body under a large fizzy thin white head that receded to a thin wispy film. The nose is just full-on brett funkiness with some pale malt. Very fruity and funky. The flavor is brett dominated as well with some light tartness and fruity notes. Finishes with a nice brisk lemon-like note with some spiciness that almost comes across as clove like. Light bodied and bone dry with lots of fizzy prickly carbonation and a short but very bright finish. Very nice beer, really lets the brett shine.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
missed this when first released, so this should be better with some age? .. mildly hazed gold .. strong foam presence .. . dusty, nasty dead yeast, and old vacuum bag .. . wow, this is aging terribly. something isn’t right in the makeup of this beer .. . . ahem, yes, i’d like one crack please..

3.4 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Noble Beer Sangha #2: Bottle, pours brassy and bubbly like champagne. Medium lean body. Cherry, cidery and rubbery light aroma. Tastes one part cherry and one part apple cider with faintest hint of rubber tire complexity. Very dry finish (no off-notes).

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Appearance: very hazy gold color, pours with a large white head that dissipates pretty quickly
Aroma: very sour, very tart, wild, some funk, cherry, some bread
Taste: lots of tart, some light bitterness and alcohol on the finish, faint hints of funky barnyard,
Palate: lively carbonation, slight bitter aftertaste, light mouthfeel
Overall: pretty good wild beer, a very smooth beer with just a bit of funk in there, I of course would prefer more funk

4.3 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle gushed a bit even on a gentle pour. Brett character is present in the nose and I could almost detect the acidity. Mild and pleasant acidity was in the flavor to go with heavy carbonation. I really enjoyed it.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 ml bottle served in a snifter. This bottle is at least 6 months old. Pours slightly hazy bright orange copper with medium creamy head. Aroma is light dry citrus with pleasant earthy undertones. Taste is clean oaky malt with crisp dry finish. Notes of pear, light butter, and oak. Faint, earthy sourness. Does not taste like 8+% abv; very drinkable, I wouldn’t necessarily consider this a strong ale. Still, quite pleasant.
