COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
What began as mutual admiration between Sierra Nevada’s Grossman Family and Russian River’s Cilurzos has grown and progressed into genuine friendship. Brux began as an idea and has grown into something altogether different:

The liquid manifestation of change over time.

Refermented in the bottle with Brettanomyces bruxellensis, Brux will change and develop over time. Copper-colored, dry and complex, with slightly tart notes of green grass, pear, spice and lemon - this ale will progress in the bottle for many years.

A quickly forming head, up to two fingers, which mellowed out to a finger or so. The body’s color is a hazy medium straw. The aroma is wonderful: banana bread, apricot and lemon. Very bright. The taste is also bright with the same fruits plus orange. The texture a low point with a high level of carbonation. Crisp and medium body. This is a wonderful beer. I need to find another bottle to stow away for a few years.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, cloudy orange pour and I want to fucking escape white head, funky aroma, taste has loads of funk and that metallic bret taste, it’s not bad but it’s not good.

Really just a saison with more alcohol. First Brett I've had and I was expecting more. I will try another after it has aged a bit. Hopefully aging will give it some more character. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Big fluffy white head which dissipates quickly. Golden brown. Relatively neutral nose; mild brett and a small hint of sourness. Medium to medium-heavy carbonation. Taste like a saison with a fuller body. Not all that interesting, but easy drinking. Flavor is the same as the nose. Finish is enjoyable, slightly more, sour and lasts. Disappointing overall for a Russian River collab. Underwhelming.

Had a good mouth feel and some good brett and malt flavor, but this one didn’t really come together for me.

750 ml bottle from Liquor Kabinet. Golden and slightly hazy with a white head. Fruity, wild yeast, grassy and herbal aroma with light spicy hops. Similar flavor with a crisp dry feel and a light body. Good, but I probably wouldn’t get it again.

From bottle at HOTB. Pretty mild nose, light Brett and neutral fruity funk and some honey. Cloudy golden amber with white lacing head. Medium-heavy body with medium carbonation. Starts and stays sweet with mild Brett and light honey, caramel. Not much funk to this one. Perhaps needs to age a bit?
