Craft Clerkenwell. Martin T tasting. Very hazy gold beer, little white head. Palate is light and airy. Mild fine carbonation. Very mellow sourness, barely there. Mild yeast and a tiny bit of dried fruits. Touch of lactose. Finishes semi dry. Unusually mellow but quite drinkable.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle, 75cl corked. It pours an unclear, golden-orange body and a minimal-sized off-white head. The aroma is rather sweetish, with a touch of lemon and orange. canned pears and some hay. Some peppery hints too. It’s a tad carbonated for my likings, with a dry, full-bodied palate. Pale malt hints in the flavor, with peaches, canned pears, some sugary hints and a faint touch of black pepper. Long finish. Not very sour this one, it feels sweet without being it, and in general tastes quite nice. But nothing extraordinary going on. 130814

2.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Dull tan, no head. Aroma has brett, subtle malts...in the direction of gueuze but quite a bit cleaner. There’s a fair bit of alcohol coming through, sweet, just a hint of tartness, bit of cidery character as well. More time might bring out the brett a little better. Inchoate.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A hazy golden orange color with a tall white head. Nice yeast component to the nose, a bit of citrus peel, spice, and peaches. Sweet malt aroma in the background with a little brett, but not all that much. Really good fruitiness, particularly citrus, peach, and pear. The spice notes are enjoyable and work well with the fruit and sweet bread. Like the nose, not all that much brett character, but quite good. Just a hint of lemon and tartness as it warms up.
