3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The beer pours a sparkling, orangey-golden color with a white, full, fizzy, creamy head which is somewhat lasting and leaves minimal lace. The nose is subtle but nice with light barnyard funk, some lemon, lots of rose petals, slight apple, faint ginger. The flavor is more Brett prominent with lemons, similar funk, ginger, light candi sugar, dusty yeast, and still floral. The palate is dry, very lively, less than medium. The finish is quick, funky, lightly tart, and dry sweetness lingering. The bitterness is less than medium and the acidity is just over medium. Not as "wild" as I would have thought based on RR Brewery and the Brett but still pleasant. This one was not really all that complex which was a bit surprising to me but there were plenty of subtle notes to create a very pleasant beer.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
About 1.5 years stored. Almost no carb. Tart Aroma of cherry pie, green apple. Very fruity. Flavor is very bretty, with tart cherry pie notes. Too bad that there is no carb left because the flavor would be really nice with a good palate

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours cloudy, but sports a wonderfully complex, tart flavor, originating from the Brett. After a few sips, the complexity really comes thru. This is a brew beer lovers and wine lovers both would appreciate! Try Brux and see if you agree!

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: DEC 1, 2013 Bottle: smoggy amber body with a foamy & chunky, micro-bubble white head that slowly descends to a collar. Aroma has notes of musty cellar, cobweb, dirty funk, cotton, & light notes of lemon & orange zest. Taste has a little more lemon & orange zest notes, light melon, some cotton funk, light pineapple-y Brett, biscuit yeast, zesty finish. Some light white pepper notes, spiced. Decent, & it has certainly has gotten better with time, should continue to improve.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Rating 500 for this beer. Bottle, one to two years old, at home.
Gold with a nice white head. Aroma of dry white wine, pineapple, and brett based funk. Gently, gently sour with flavors of dry cider intermingled with an Orvalesqe Belgian ale. Pear skin. Pepper. Cracker malts. At the finish, the taste of chewing on rich meadow grass in a Michigan summer. Heavily carbonated, with bubbles burst into your mouth.
There’s been some complaining in the reviews for this beer that it’s disappointing what for being a wild ale with training wheels. Bollocks. That’s exactly what it set out to be. It says so right on the label --- domesticated wild ale. It’s very good, showcasing Sierra Nevada perfection of craft and Russian River character. This is a very nice bridge into more demanding styles, and it is also a very nice beer in its own right. It may be a better beer than the 3.8 I’m giving it, but I don’t quite see what aspect of my rating I should increase. I’d like to try an older bottle; this one is not fresh but still has a way to go.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A real foamer of a beer, cork popped off with no trouble at all, straw head, cloudy appearance. Aroma is sour, malty, citrus, oak. Taste is semi-sweet, somewhat acidic, medium bitterness, some spiciness, sour apple. Quite violent carbonation and somewhat astringent.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
1 nov 2013, bottle. Yellow, clear, lots of steady bubbles. Nose is kind of multiple Belgian yeasts: strong ale yeast and mild cobweb brett. Thin body and mildly fizzy. Belgian strong ale with some cobwebs. I kind of like it b

Poured this into a straight sided tulip glass. Nice orangey/gold color with tons of bubbles. Lovely white bubbly head on this beer. Smells wonderful. I’m getting a ton of white grape aroma and that slight funk I love so much. Spice and grassiness also present in the aroma. Taste is slightly less tarty that I was expecting. Sweet grass, nice peppery spiciness, sticky pear, white grape and a nice dryness to back it up. I have been enjoying this beer too much to really write much about it; well this beer and some Mraz. Mouthfeel is light on the tongue, the carbonation makes it dance around your mouth like Tinkerbell in a light evening gown. I’m going to go back to drinking and singing. Good chat.
