Pours brown amber with a small, staying, off-white head. Aroma has sweetness, berries, yeast, light caramel and sugar. Soft carbonation, light creamy mouthfeel. Flavour is mild, yeasty, vinious, light butter, caramel, chocolate. Bitter finish. Sadly, the diacetyl only gets worse as it warms.

Clear medium red amber color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, hay, moderate hoppy, grass, orange shell, moderate spicy - star anis, clove. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet, bitter and spicy with a average to long duration. Body is light medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20081105]

It’s red-brown with a creamy head. The aroma is malty and slightly spicy. The flavour has notes of fruity hops, malt, caramel, light oranges and a slightly spicy bite with hints of anise. It’s the first day they serve this beer, and it’s quite charming.
