Pours a nice, clear chestnut with a small, staying, off-white creamy head. Aroma has notes of berries, caramel, a hint of cardboard and this rather weird juniper note again - herbal hops?. Medium carbonation, okay mouthfeel. Flavour starts with quite a lot of cardboard, but that diminishes. Softly vinious, milky chocolate, caramel. Again a fine, hoppy finish. But that juniper thing is really weird.

Clear medium brown color with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, nutty, roasted notes, light acidic, moderate to light heavy butter, butterscotch. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20090316]

It is dark brown with a huge, creamy head. The aroma has notes of butterscotch and roasted malt. The flavour has a light sweetness and notes of roasted malt, butterscotch, and the slightly dry finish has a touch of citrus. It is a nice interpretation of a dunkel bock, and I like the butterscotch.
