Tap (Bryggeri, Helsinki)
Pleasantish rich roast, hint of coffee, but a tiny little hint of sournes too. Lovely dark colour, almost black, persistent tight espresso head. More sourness in the taste, it’s clearly on the turn. However the roast is delicious. Tons of coffee, in particular in the finish. Nice full palate, pleasant carbonation. Damn, I can see why others gave it high scores, but alas I have to rate what’s in my glass. Dear brewer, please brew this again, so I can have a fresher sample - I promise I will give it a higher score! Really should rerate.

Tap @ St. Urho’s, Helsinki, Porter & Stoutpäivät 2014. Pours a dark brown with a wooden tinge. Good-sized, nice-looking, latte-colored head that disappear fairly quickly. Aroma is smoky, a lot of dark malt bread, roast, some liquorice, light cellar aroma. Might just be the smokiness. Taste is quite roasty, some smoke, some liquorice. Very full flavor in the middle, but turns rather light and watery on the finish unfortunately. Roast, light smoke and light wood on the aftertaste. Quite a lot of carbonation that masks the thin body in the middle, but unfortunately the wateriness comes through on the finish.

Tap @ St.Urho’s portteripäivät. Near black, thick, creamy brown head. Strong roasty, peaty, smoky aroma. Flavor has peat, roasted malt, anise. Tar candy like, coud be the anise though. Slightly thin but very enjoyable. Long smoky finish

Deep ruby color, small steady beige head. Light toasted and chocolaty aroma. Light to medium bodied. Toasted, chocolaty flavor. Clean, stylish, not very exiciting but good.

Draught at Bryggeri Helsinki. Pretty much black beer with a beige head. Aroma is smoky, has roasted malts and chocolate. Flavour has roasted malts, licorice, and smoke. Full bodied and well balanced porter with a lot of aroma and taste. My 200th Finnish beer rating.

rosenbergh (7428) - Tampere, FINLAND - DEC 7, 2013
Draught at the Bryggeri, Helsinki, Finland. Black colour with a small tan head. Roasted malt, mild milky sweetness, mild coffee and airy notes in the aroma. The flavour is roasted malt, mild hops, dry grain and mild ashy dryness. Quite enjoyable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
