Sampled at DØE Beerfestival 2009, Esbjerg. Pours a hazy orange/amber beer with an offwhite head. The aroma is malt, fruit and some herbal spices. The flavor is hops, caramel and spices. The palate is bitter. Overall an average beer.

Draft. Clear red/amber colour with fine head. Flavour of bitter hops and sweetness.

Bottle. Medium high creamy and lasting white head. Hazy dark amber body. Plum raisin caramel malt aroma. Dusty dry plum raisin caramel flavor with low carbonation and a short aftertaste.

Bottle @ Esbjerg Festival, 2009. Pours unclear orange with a small creamy white head. Sweet berries and cinnamon. Lots of orange peel. Medium to thin palate. OK

JULEBRYG 2008. Unclear deep red-brown colour with a fairly well lasting beige medium head. Spiced orange dark fruity bit sour aroma. Ok mouthfeel. Spiced, lightly smoky, dark fruitish flavour with a light sour touch. Smoky and sour ESA.... infected brew.

aroma is sour, raisins, spices, orange peel. sour note is frightening.. is it perhaps infected?
flavor is slight sour, slight smoked, infected spices. hardly drinkable. drainpour.

Unclear medium orange amber color with a small to average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, raisin, cinnamon, moderate to light light heavy hoppy, orange, light notes of smoke - rubber - plastic. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long to average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20081124]
