0.5 l bottle, 7.5 % vintage 2008, thanks Hannu N and Timo A. Slightly hazy dark amber color. Sweet, toffeish, nutty, floral and berryish aroma. Dryer flavor with berries, toasted malt, fruity tartness, licorice. Long spicy and berryish finish. Full bodied and fairly carbonated, not very drinkable.

On tap at European Beer Festival, Copenhagen. An amber, slightly hazy beer with a nice, beige head. Quite weak aroma with fruits and caramel. The flavor has the same problem, it’s too weak, but balances caramel and fruits nicely. Some hops shows up in the finish. Full to medium body and a decent level of carbonation. Caramel finish with bittering hops. Not a beer I would choose to go with my Christmas dinner, but to a Danish style Christmas lunch it would probably be appropriate. (080913)

Cask@EBF2008. Amber colour, small white head. Aroma is alcohol, peach, some mild grass and also quite fruity hops. Flavour is almost exactly the same. Wellbalanced strong ale. Some light spicyness is lurking in the background too.

Poured from a can, presumably straight from a barrel @ EBF 2008. Hint of cherry in the aroma, just a touch of spicyness. Oak, red berries and various nondescript spices (cardemom?) in the flavor. The comnplexity is there, but this beer is too spicy for my liking.
