Rating #886, flaske til VM i ØL

En grim øl uden skum og med en let STANK af humle. Smagen er en kedelig pilsner med metalbismag og en let omgang trætønde. Overraskende nok en blød og tyk mundfylde.

The aroma is sweet with hints of caramel and honey. The color is clear amber with zero head. The carbonation is like a soda. The taste is sweet with nodes as it smells. Caramel and honey. I don’t really get any bitterness.

Served from bottle. Clear beer with an orange colour and no head. Sweet and kind of alcoholic odour. Taste is sweet with hints of marzipan and too alcoholic. Aftertaste is too sweet.

Bottle at home, thx Kirsten. Cloudy dark amber with a beige head. Aroma medium+ malty (caramel, fruity) medium hoppy (citrusy). Flavor medium+ sweet, medium bitter. Medium+ body, good but nothing special Xmas, 7,5% abv.

Rune (7760) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 22, 2013
500ml bottle, 7 % abv, many thanks to Skinnyviking. Clear amber-gold body, faint off-white head, fragile lacing. Sweet fruit and bread on the nose, weak vapour of alcohol beneath. Taste of dried fruits, sweet herbal hops and toasted grain. Sweet fruity ending with noticeable alcohol. Soft in the mouth. Medium bodied. Has got its moments of Yuletide feel (Tromsø 20.12.2013).

An amber, slightly hazy beer with a nice, beige head. Quite weak aroma with fruits and caramel. The flavor has the same problem, it’s too weak, but balances caramel and fruits nicely. Some hops shows up in the finish. Full to medium body and a decent level of carbonation. Caramel finish with bittering hops.

Desverger (1667) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - DEC 14, 2013
Bottle 7.0% from Brugsen, Christianshavn - pours golden/amber colour with a medium white head. Sweet malts and sweet hoppy fruits, some caramel, found this to be far to sweet overall. Not for me.

Bamsen78 (2890) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - NOV 26, 2013
Bottle, 7.0%. Pours clear golden with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of malt, yeast, hops, and booze in the long nose. Sweetish, malty taste, with rare bitter, hoppy notes, a good deal of yeast, and discernble alcohol presence. Grainy finish. It tastes like a well-balanced Strong Pale Lager, not like a Winter Bock (as stated on the label.). Not my idea of fun.
