Bottle. It pours a clear, dark reddish brown body and a small, dense, beige head leaving lacings. The aroma is yeasty with caramel, fruityness and a vegetal touch. Sourish yet sweet flavor with caramel, nuts and dms. Full to medium body with pleasant carbonation. Sourish finish with caramel, sweetness and raisins. Some smoked notes too. I’ve always heard medievel beer were sour, but todays replicas don’t need to be sour like this one. 110523

Bottle. Amber brown with little head, looking a little flat. Aroma sweet and spicy, a little too much for me. Taste very sweet and a little smoke at the end. Too sweet to be really good.

50cl bottle at home. best before jan.10.2010 tasted may 30.2009 clear amber / brown, small thick soft nice looking offwhite head. distinctively sour aroma, probably infected. on top of sour i get some spices and some sweetness. flavor is slightly sour/infected, burns in the throat, raisins. this infection is rather unpleasant, had to rate, spicy, sour. palate is a bit bubbly. overall a drainpour.
