COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brygmand Special Pilsner is a pilsner with strong flavours of hops locally grown at Gyndbjerg, just south of Kolding. The flavour is intense with a rounded bitterness and a rich, long finish. Brygmand Special Pilsner is an all malt beer and a genuine local speciality. The hop plant was found in a hedge and cultivated for three years until it’s unique qualities were determined. The hops are now grown organically several places at Gyndbjerg.

Hazy orange, amber colour with a small dense off white head. Malty, light caramel sweet aroma with some hoppy fruity notes. Malty, fruity and herbal flavor with a light dry floral finish.

Bottled: Amber coloured. Light foggy. Fluffy light brown head. Fruits and light herbs in the nose. Quite bland. Flavour is fruity and has a sharp herbal edge. Is medium bodied. Has a medium bitter end. Quite good and easy to drink. Thanks Ungstrup for this.

An unclear orange beer with a light orange head. The aroma is very light but with notes of malt and cloves. The flavor is sweet malty with light fruit notes - especially oranges, and a light bitter end. And the body is thin. A bottle conditioned Pilsner, which gives the haze, is not really to style, but interesting. Though the hops are not the most interesting I’ve tasted, I still like the idea of Danish grown hops, so far one of only two breweries using Danish grown hops - and definately the brewery doing so that knows most about brewing beer.

(Bottle 50 cl) Slightly hazy amber golden with an off-white head. Vague aroma of citrus perhaps. Rather light body with a very discreet malty feel and a dry, bitter finish. Very clean and quenching. 240706
