Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. Originally 4.0%.
Originally brewed to commemorate Battle of Britain day.
A pale golden coloured, bitter beer. An initial hop character from the East Kent Goldings aroma hops that are added late to the copper, with malt overtones that are enhanced by the addition of malted oats.

Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Fest ’08. Gold to amber with white head. Decent hoppy bitter if slightly on the sweetish side, touches of lychees in a perfumed hoppy body. Good enough for a session ale.

Cask (handpump) at the Fly In The Loaf, Liverpool, April 2008. Nice pale golden amber colour. Creamy head. Clean and fresh with some citrus, a smattering of spicy hop character and a biscuity malt backing. Pleasant drinking. Nothing too much beyond that beyond that but eminently fit for purpose. Despite the pale colour this is more of a bitter than a golden ale.

Cask cellar run at Ship & Mitre BF, Liverpool. Gold, no head. It’s an ok golden bitter, not huge on the citrus. Balanced, bit watery in mouth. Hop finish is decent enough. Actually it’s ok, good flavours. Balanced session beer.

Cask Blackfriars. Aroma is sweet sulphur, pale malts and quite eggy. Taste is pale biscuity malts, hints of grass, the palate is thin and watery.
