Cask Handpump at the Ship & Mitre, Liverpool 14/03/2002 Black in colour with a fully roasted flavour. A porter with a lasting finish.

Black with a small off-white head. Aroma of toffee and coffee with a touch of ashtray. Sweetish flavour but very roasted and with a charcoal finish

Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, burnt, sk´moke - ash tray, wood notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20090808]

Cask@The New Wheatsheaf. Opaque black color, firm beige head. Chocolaty coffeish aroma. Flavor has milk chocolate, toasted malts and some tobacco ash. Roasted and milky aftertaste.

Cask@The New Wheatsheaf, London. Quite much black colour, small head. Aroma is roastedmalts, liquorice, caramel, coffee, chocolate, smoked wood, toffee and also some slight earthy notes. Flavour is roasted malts, smoked wood, toffee, coffee, chocolate and some really smoked/burnt wet wooden notes in the finish. Also quite ashy in the finish. Very pleasant.
