2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 SaintMatty (2847) - Uppsala, - JAN 13, 2009
Cask (Hole In The Wall, Portsmouth) - Golden/amber in colour. Slightly sulphuric and eggy aroma. Sterile and malty taste with a light hoppiness. Rather disappointing and the aroma certainly put me off a bit.

Cask (gravity dispense) at Battersea Beer Festival on 10 February 2011. Amber colour. Slight sulphur aroma, but not unpleasantly so. Likeable, clean mouthfeel. Quite dry. Very drinkable. Maybe not a stunner, but an extremely solid and functional session bitter. Fit for purpose.

Cask/gravity at Battersea BF. Deep gold with a bit of haze and a lacy white head. Nice fruity hop and malt nose, crisp, dry and fruity on the palate, faintly nutty undertones but also a faint hint of acetic. Dry malt-bitter finish.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 fiulijn (10383) - Como, ITALY - JAN 13, 2009
Cask Conditioned at The Castle, Furnival St., London Hazy amber color. I’ve been warned: this beer smells weird; bad manure, green, and toffee. Quite fresh flavor, good caramel and toffee, light residual sweetness, bold bitterness, and still a light earthy, manure touch. Not bad, but its character is quite on the edge..

Cask handpull at The Castle, Holborn. Yeasty bitter, yeast dominates throughout. Vague malt and hop flavours.

Battersea Beer Festival. Terrible, smelled like sewage, I don’t know if it went bad but they were serving it to everyone. It tasted worse than it smelled. My buddy had to pour his out, it was that disgusting.
