Miver (376), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 28, 2007 Draft at Brew pub. Pours orangish amber color. Small quickly diminishing head. Taste is very malty ginger and quite a bit sweet. I was hoping for some more hops in the finish, but just didn’t get it. It’s tough to drink more than 1 of these because of the overall sweetness and spices. Dickinsonbeer (2512), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Dec 13, 2007 Thanks to Axilla for sharing this growler at least years xmas get-together at Tomdecapolis’. Porus moslty clear medium amber and a thin lasting head. Aroma is herbal hops, basil, garden spices, lemon thyme and even some weed in there.. Dry light flavor- more spice, earth and dirt- some green hops and a bit vegetal. Mild easy finish but a bit thin. weeare138 (924), Collegeville, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 22, 2006 Thanks to axilla for this...
Appears a transparent, orange toned amber with a small white head that quickly fades away. Little spots of lacing cling to the glass.
Smell is of basil, peppercorn, ginger, coriander, & nutmeg...very weird.
Taste is of a spicey, Belgian, dry pasta, yeasty, wacky creation that reminds me a bit of my tomato sauce without the acidic, pureed tomatoes.
Mouthfeel is bitterly spiced, kind of weird but not overly bad...just very strange. hopdog (4525), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 22, 2006 Sampled from Growler courtesy of Axilla. Poured a deep orange color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of strong ginger. I found the ginger aroma to drown out all other aromas. Tastes of ginger, citrus, bready, and caramel. Light lacing left on the glass. TomDecapolis (2389), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 21, 2006 Thanks to Axilla for sharing this growler. Pours a translucent golden amber/copper with an average off white creamy head. Aroma was lots of ginger, corriander and a mix of other spices along with some bready pils malts. Flavor was bready, ginger, pils malt and a very light hop presence.
