afireinside96 (330), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Mar 19, 2008 nitro draught. probably the most authentic "English style" bitter I have ever had that was made in America, most American breweries over hop them. golden amber color with a dense white nitro induced head. light smell of caramel and toffee. smooth drinking caramel flavor with a small bitter hop finish. cheers on getting the style done right. dannyboy (2), Lititz, Pennsylvania, USA does not count Feb 11, 2008 What a nice surprise to find an English Bitter at Bubes. Being on nitro gave it a traditional British look and flavor. I was very impressed with the flavor, carbonation, and overall drinkability of this "session" beer. The hoppiness was just a bit above what I would expect from a traditional bitter but it was certainly not overpowering and more to my liking than some less hoppy bitters. Very nice beer!
