Bubes Maibock

I’m not a Maibock expert, but this was an excellent beer. In fact, all the beers I tried in the pub were good. Bube’s brews some solid beers its unfortunate you can only get them at the pub.

draught. a decent interpretation of the style. tapped a medium amber with a thin white head. smells sweet and floral. flavor is nicely balanced with some floral notes. leaves some very nice lace work all the way down the glass. pretty solid.

Draft at the brewpub. Rusty amber with a thin but pillowy head. Room temperature service brings out a medicinal aspect to the aroma. Syrupy with an almost raspberry essence, the warmth is light, but you can tell this has some oomph. Decent. (#3005, 7/5/2007)
