tapped a deep amber with a dense nitro-looking head. sweet smelling and tasting it is lacking a bit in complexity, but more than makes up for it in drinkability. very smooth for the supposed 5.9 % abv, I polished off 2 pints before my food even arrived.

Draft, Bube’s. Pours a bright, cherry-amber color; headless. Very minimal aroma: some dried fruit and caramel, at most. Average carbonation. Medium mouthfeel: chewy dried fruits, cherries, and caramel at the core; decent weight and viscosity in the mouth; on the sweet side, but good density at the center and mild mineral bitterness; medium, dried red fruit and caramel in the finish; well-balanced throughout.

On tap at the Bubes Brew Pub. Poured a deeper amber color with a very small sized off white head. Aromas of caramel, earthy, and grainy. Tastes of lighter earthiness, nutty, toffee and caramel.

Pours a reddish/orange/amber with a smaller bubbly/creamy off white head. Aroma of malty sweet grains, toffee, nuts, some floral and caramel notes. Flavor of nuts, malty sweet grains, some citrus, molasses and toasted malts.

I wasn’t too impressed with this brew. Body was kinda thin, taste was lacking, maybe it wasn’t fermented long enough or it got tainted, but this just didn’t taste all that great.
