Commercial Description:
This was the first draught on tap in November 2001. It has developed to a very quaffable ale. the slight sweet malt flavor is balanced with East Kent Golding hops to produce this delicious reddish-amber ale.

Draught at Bubes, deep red hue with nice foam head. Some cherry aroma. Kind of tart on the pallet with cherry undertones. A little chemical taste and some bitterness. Might have to give this another try but a bit sour for my pallet.

draught. tapped a deep garnet with a thin white head. not really much to smell. taste is mostly sweetened malts, some brown sugar. finishes much like an English bitter, lightly sweet with a fair amount of hop bitterness. not really true to the style but quite drinkable none the less.

(USA) Had a Ruby Red color with a Sm-White Head. I thought this brew had Dry Berry taste. Not much else to say, But drinkable.

Draft at the brewpub, July 2006. A hazy red beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, but also light notes of citrus. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of yeast, berries, caramel, and a bit of barn yard, leading to a dry bitter end.

Pours coppery amber with tinges of ruby. The aroma is caramel malt and some vinous fruit, and slight berry notes. Taste is caramel malty, with a mix of berry and vinous fruit. Medium palate, with a solid complexity. Well crafted.
