Nejhleader (772), Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 14, 2007 this was a nice saison. It was pretty sweet, had a good body, bit of a sweet fruity aroma, a good drinking beer. kmweaver (1800), Takoma Park, Maryland, USA Oct 21, 2007 Draft, Bube’s. Pours a very murky, orangish-brown color; headless, even with some effort (being served in a plastic glass can’t help). Chewy bananas, oranges, and spice in the aroma; fruity overall, with a slight dustiness. Medium-to-full, chewy mouthfeel: pretty sticky and sweet for what I’d like to see from a saison; plenty of esters (banana, mostly) and Belgian sugar, with a mild spice presence; some vanilla and dough at mid-palate. Like the initial look, this is a bit unrefined right now, though generous. Lengthy, bready and Belgian sugar finish; slightly dry. hopdog (4371), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 20, 2007 On tap at the Bubes Brew Pub. Poured a medium and cloudy orange color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of spices, citrus, grassy, and fruity. Tastes of spices, citrus, and fruity. TomDecapolis (2340), Skippack, Pennsylvania, USA Oct 20, 2007 Pours a hazy golden orange with little to no head. Aroma of fruits and spices, banana, Belgian Saison yeast and a candy sweetness. Flavors of the same...well done Saison.
