Picked up at Maruhn Getränke in Darmstadt. Labeled Cubanero Fuerte. Pours a pale golden yellow color with a fizzy white head. Aromas of hops, grass, and grains. Flavor is a kinda sweet, watery body, nice crisp hoppy/grain taste with a nice clean finish.

[Eyes] Brown bottle, Pale gold color, , average head and carbonation. [Nouse] Aroma cereal, nothing much else. Some hop, sweet. Bottle brown, 330 ml
Appearance: Pours yellowish, very bright and pale golden body, texture is unfortunately not perfectly clear as there are some sediment floating in the body texture, carbonation of the body is moderate, saturation is rather weak, head is initially moderate to small, quickly decreasing to small with distinguishable notes of lacing, snowy white in colour, very regular in structure and foamy to frothy.
Aroma: Slightly alcoholic notes coming up from the gently honest milky - malty background perfectly rounded by a grassy hoppy touch, slightly reminding a good European Strong Lager, gentle notes of pure barley grains but biosted by chalkyness and milkyness.
Flavour: Moderately alcoholic front with somehow hidden hops and pale malty accents, harsh and sourlike from brewing cereal, accidic and salty. Still alcohol is felt as in an European Strong Lager/Imperial Pilsener of much higher alcohol percentage. Grainy touch, good, soft water. Finish duration is moderate.
Palate: Body is light, texture is wattery, carbonation on palate is soft to moderate, finish feel is moderately alcoholic and medicinal, apart from it quite clean.

One of the better pale lagers, especially considering it has added suger in it which i usually hate. But the flavor is clean and refreshing and the sweetness quite tasty.

Much tastier than it’s rival Cristal in Cuba. When I say rival, these are the two beers I had to choose from in Cuba. Good golden colour, smooth tasting and fantastically refreshing in the soaring heat and blaring sun.

In bottle at an authentic cuban cantina while on my honeymoon in Cancun. Probably my most pleasantly suprising beer in mexico. Was almost belgian in nature. Poured a clear light straw color with fair white head. Nose of sweet fruit, banana, and clove. Very velvety mouthfeel. Almost sweet in the finish. Very enjoyable, when compared to the other swill available in mexico.
