Golden color, white head. Light malt aroma, bit of citrus. Light malt flavor, not much else going on. Light body. Inoffensive, but still a typical Caribbean lager. Thanks joey_capps.

UPDATED: NOV 26, 2006 Full gold colour. Aroma mixes malts, grains and alcohol. Flavour does much the same. The body is big for style and there is a slight hint of hop spiciness to balance off a slight alcoholic firmness in the finish. More flavour and better balance than most macro lagers I’ve had, which allowed it to stand up to nearly 100 cans in my two weeks in Cuba. Near flawless construction - folks who think Budweiser is well made could learn from tasting around the world.

Golden colour with a thin white head. Aroma of slight fruits (peaches and pears) with some slight malt. Light-bodied; Malty flavour with almost nothing else-fairly watery. Overall, not really worth trying, but as an American-a nice treat as we cannot regularly drink Cuban beers! I had this bottle at the Winter Party at Oakes' place in Toronto, Canada on 05-December-2003. I owe a large thanks to Joey_capps for bringing this twelve ounce bottle for us to try!

Clear yellow, no head. Sweet malt, and corn aroma. About what you would expect from a cuban lager.

UPDATED: SEP 13, 2006 September 2006 Bah! I knew I had already rated this. Yellow, small white film of a head. (2+) Sweet, light vegetable soup notes in the aroma. Muted malt. Very thin watery flavour and palate, ambiguously sweet at times, mostly inoffensive but quite bland. 4/2/4/2/7 - 2<P> December 2003Ratebeer Christmas Party at Oakes’ place. Bottle. Thanks to joey_capps for the sample. Glowing yellow like urine after taking lots of vitamins, with a thin film of a head. Flavour is what the illusion of hops might taste like. 3/2/3/3/8 - 1.9

Bright, clear gold. White head. Sweet, bread & corn aroma. Light, watery, sugary feel. Sweet sugar & corn flavour w/ strong, unbalanced alcohol presence. Little hops bitterness.

Im rating this in Cuba, so the refreshing factor is still there. I would dare say this would taste terrible next to any stout in the States, but you are full of shit if you would want a glass of Dark Lord in the July weather down here. Slightly darker than Cristal, amber almost.

UPDATED: APR 7, 2005 Bottle/can/tap: No head whatsoever when I pourred the beer into my glass. The beer also seems flat and taste was smilar to watered down syrup corn. This is a beer to drink when your in Cuba and it’s really really hot...
